As I walked out of the guest room after a fresh shower and entered our room, she was sleeping on the bed, staring to the ceiling quitely. Her hair were slightly wet.

Taking gentle steps towards her, I grabbed the pack of medicines, she had two to take after dinner. I took them out and handed it to her. She took it and gulped down simply. I missed those weird faces she would make while taking them.

"That's like My lioness!" I patted her head gently, smiling, and that was when she returned a tiny smile. I breathed in relief and covered her with the comforter, making her lay down.

As I was about to step down from the bed, she held my hand again. I looked at her, raising my brows in question.

"Can you stay here till I sleep? Please". She asked softly making me chuckle. I sat beside her, "You don't have to request for it, demand like you always do" I spoke in a tone-light and easy.

She frowned, but stayed quite and held my palm, intertwining our fingers and whispered, "Lay down". I obeyed and laid down beside her. She held my hand closer to her.

I slept comfortably, facing her and massaged her head gently, letting my fingers glide through her cold hair. My head was a pile of confusions, I'm afraid about what if this behavior doesn't subside? I'll make sure to bring her back to normal.

"Ina". I called out.

"Hmm". Her voice barely a whisper.

"Are you really okay?" I asked, worry brewing inside my chest.

"Trust me, I am now". She said, shifting a little closer and wrapping her arm around my torso. But those words didn't comfort me at all. They just heightened my worries. It was something like, she had given up, tired of everything and now had just decided to let it go like it is.

I knew she was asleep as her breaths turned steady. I tried to pull away but she didn't let me, so I decided otherwise and slept there, hoping tomorrow would be a little better.

My eyes fluttered open as I felt my stomach growl lowly. I woke up, rubbing my eyes slightly as I looked around, my hand was freshly bandaged but Ahad wasn't here.

I glanced towards the wallclock and sighed, it was 11.20 am. I walked inside the closet, taking a fresh shower, I wore a simple salwar suit and walked out.
