A H A D
Finally. A Face-off.
My gaze never left his since the moment Ina walked out of the room. I sat straighter, eyes hardening further as I gritted out, "Kya chahiye?"
(What do you want?)
His smirk was smug, all too lazy for someone who had been hiding behind false identities and cowardice for years. "Bata dunga toh tu de dega?"
(Will you give it to me if I tell you?)
My jaw clenched, fists balling under the table. The anger coursing through my veins only intensified, pouring out as mockery.
Scoffing, I stated, "Depends. If it's some wisdom, common sense and strategy tips. I can definitely give you."
The smugness on Hassan's face didn't falter, if only, his expressions darkened further. I sat back calmly, fingers drumming on the chair's armrest as I watched the pen in his pocket simply.
I had to get that.
And I had to make him believe that his petty plan-manipulating Ina-has been working.
Let the act begin.
"What have you told her?" I hissed, my hold tightening on the armrest.
His eyes narrowed the slightest before he caught the meaning behind my words. A small amused chuckle escaped him as he probed, "Why? Is she avoiding you?"
I leaned in, drowning out the faint hum of AC as I snapped, my voice louder, "That's none of your bloody business! Just tell me what have you told her?"
He shrugged. "I just stated some facts, I'm glad she's smart enough to see through your woven lies."
A person with betrayal and lies running in his veins was saying this to me. lol.
"Stay away from her. And get this into your filthy head-She is Mine. I only warn once." I declared, enunciating every syllable with possession.
His scoff was louder as he leaned back in his chair. "Has she ever told you that?"
Oh she moa-shut it. Ahad, Focus.
"She doesn't need to." I smirked.
"I won't let you treat her that way, Ahad." He snapped and I held back the urge to gag.
I huffed under my breath, there's no point in moving in circles. "If you've known me so well, then you might also know that a man like me would never let her go." I smiled as I continued, "She entered my life as my wife, and it stays that way. If she tries to go away, you wouldn't like my ways of keeping her, right?"
His confidence faltered for a second before he masked it with a snort, "We both know she's strong and capable enough. And that day is not far when you'll find her walking away from you."
I leaned back in my chair, eyes blank. "Walk away? Come out of your delusions, Raza."
He raised a brow, his fingers drumming on the table. "Confident much?"
I laughed. "Strategic much. Try to intervene and I will make it more difficult for her. Let's see how you save your so-called friend then?" I growled, my voice laced with a deadly calmness.
The blink of surprise was so satisfying. He probably hadn't ever expected me to speak about hurting her. Of course, I'd rather kill myself than bringing a lone tear to her eyes.
He stiffened for a while before clearing his throat. And those words had affected me more than him.
The next moment, he moved until he was in front of me. Lunging forward, he grabbed my collar as he growled, his eyes red with anger. "You won't do any such thing!"
