I N A Y A

The car was filled with silence, no one spoke a word. Ahad and I were seated in the backseat, while Asim was driving the car and his mother sat in the passenger seat.

I still am unable to believe this!

"Mom! I still can't believe that Bhai got married!" Asim exclaimed, and Ahad clenched his jaw. Azra aunty chuckled.

I was tired and closed places usually suffocated me, this huge dress, the bunch of flowers in my hair was adding up to the discomfort. My breaths becoming shallow and quick as my claustrophobia began appearing.

Ahad who might have sensed it, looked at me and I began coughing loudly as sweat beads formed on my forehead.

He quickly grabbed a water bottle, handed it to me opening it. My hands were trembling and sweaty, he quickly shifted towards me and held my arm making me look at him.

"You okay?" He asked, the stern facade now replaced by unmistakable concern.

"O-open the....w-windows". I said between coughs and heavy breaths. Asim pulled the windows down quickly while Azra aunty reached for my hand to massage it gently.

I put my head outside the window for a while and took few deep breaths calming my nerves down.

"What happened beta?" Aunty asked concerned.

"I just can't stay in closed places for too long". I told her and she nodded in understanding. I then glanced over Ahad who was still looking at me, his one hand holding the water bottle, the other holding my arm. This closeness effected me more than my claustrophobia, I raised one brow questioningly indicating at his hand with my eyes and he shifted back quickly. I drank a little water.

As we reached, the car pulled into a huge mansion, if I didn't know it was a mansion, I'd definitely have mistaken it for a palace, it was not it's gigantic size but the way it was decorated that captured my heart. Long leads of fairy lights covered every nook and corner of the walls, the trees in the lawn had sparkling lights. The entire path to the gate was decorated with lamps at its side and flower petals on the ground.

Ahad stepped out, opened the door for me and extended his hand to hold mine. I simply placed my hand in his and it was obviously difficult for me to not feel any movements in my stomach.

As we stepped on the enchanting pathway, numerous firecrackers bursted enlightening the sky, I looked up, a wide grin spread across my lips as my heart was filled with elation, because I wasn't expecting such welcome!

Rayan uncle, Ahmad, Sasha, Hafsa and Kaif stood on the other end, at the entrance hooting, their faces holding an ear to ear smile. I looked at Ahad, his features enhanced by the lights around, a warm smile tracing his lips giving him an alluring glow. Aunty came at my left side and held my arm taking me forward.

"Welcome Home Bhabhiiii!!!" All of them cheered in unison. A constant smile playing on my lips as I mumbled a 'thank you'.

We entered and aunty gestured Sasha and Hafsa to lead me towards the room.

"You might be tired, rest well Beta! We'll talk tomorrow". Rayan uncle said patting my head gently. I nodded and smiled, both of them came to my sides and we walked forward.

We walked upstairs and entered a spacious corridoor, having multiple rooms. They showed me the rooms, a library, home office, designing room and a bedroom.

No word can describe the surreal view of this room! Exactly my type!

Highly spacious, walls painted in grey. A king sized bed placed at centre covered royally in black bed sheets and pillows, black large curtains covering the window behind it, a bed side table on either side. A dressing table on its left, a door on the wall next to it most probably leading to the closet and washroom. A large couch, with a table at centre and two bean bags around it was placed infront of the bed.
