"Thank you for today?" Marwa thanked for the hundredth time, her face containing a fulfilled smile while she held her hand up on the air careful not to stain her henna.
Layla just chuckled glancing at her sister in-laws side before her eyes traveled to her own hand which contain a bold print of red henna, and since Marwa is fairer in complexion, the intricate pattern is looking even more beautiful on her fingers.
Contrary to Layla's which is in black but nonetheless just as beautiful or even more beautiful than Marwa's giving the fact that she has both long nails and fingers.
They spend the day at a beauty parlor which Marwa invited her to and even though it wasn't long since she had a full body spa and message she couldn't refuse her.
"Is nothing really." Layla mumbled softly. "I should be the one to thank you."
"Thank me...?" Marwa question in a teasing voice as she eyed Layla whom had her attention fixed on the road ahead. "Trust me. This is all a bribe. You're my one way ticket to making Ya Jawad invest in my business."
"Why is did he refused to invest anyway?" Layla asked her curiosity getting the best of her.
"This is the fifth times am trying to restart it. First two times I used my money for the investment but...you know..." She sighed sadly biting the inside of her mouth as she look out the window weakly.
"You know..." Marwa repeated her words conflicted then let out a huge sigh and continue with. "Anyways...The third time Mommy invest and the fourth Mommy and I invest, but now she insisted she is not giving me a dime which is why I turned to Yaya Jawad."
"What about your inheritance?" Layla asked casually cause from what she knew each one of them got a massive inheritance that could last them all to their great grandchildren a life time.
Marwa looked at her sister in-law hesitant. She knew that her husband and especially the way Jawad can't hide his love for his wife, she is sure they don't have much secret between them.
Beside, Rauda, her child too is now part of that inheritance. It is indeed huge and they did share it but then they all know that if they're to separate the real estate business, that will be the end of it.
So they all come to a mutual agreement to employee a specialist to run the business while Jawad over look the entire thing, beside all of them have a job they're passionate about which maybe the reason why none was willing to leave it just to run the family business.
Layla glanced at Marwa before she transfer her gaze to the road. Seeing the hesitation in Marwa's eyes made her kinda regret her words.
She shouldn't have prey! Their inheritance is none of her business and she is more happy so that she has her own things and even Jawad doesn't depend on that.
"Not that I am trying to intrude or anything...." She defended raising her fingers from the wheel.
"No..." Marwa was quick to cut her off. "I was just lost in my thoughts for a while. And you're his wife so you have the right to know."
"Is just that...like Jawad...Hafsa...Auwal and the rest all build something for themselves and not depending on their Inheritance I want to be able to do the same. I don't want to depend on it."
Layla tilt her head considering Marwa's statement. For Auwal she kinda understand, guy is big in the export industry, he is not just big but massive and same with Hafsa. Her Interior designing and furniture making is earning millions but for Marwa...well.
Layla blinking her eyes not wanting to contradict the poor woman. Cause to her, since they're all born with a silver spoon why can't they all relax and enjoy it.
