Chapter 100

Hunters POV:

"Come on let's go! We're already late!" I call out. The only person down here is Noah, who is adorably clutching onto his present for Theo. He's extremely excited for this birthday party and to give Theo his present. I'm about to call out again, as Reid scrambles out of the kitchen with a pop tart in one hand, a present in the other. Aaron follows closely behind, but with two pop tarts.

"No Spence, for the hundredth time, she didn't specify on the invite if there was going to be a clown!" Nick says annoyed, dragging Spencer to the front door. "Seb come on! You heard him we're already late!" Alex says running towards us with his sweater halfway on his body. "Yeah, no thanks to you! You basically used the entire can of deodorant right outside my room!" Sebastian scoffs. "Is everyone ready? For real this time?" I ask. The first time we tried to leave, everyone either forgot to do something or was missing an article of clothing. Plus we forgot Alex in the driveway before we drove off.

"Lex have two shoes n-now!" Noah says, giving Alex a thumbs up. I roll my eyes at Alex when he grins because how the hell did he leave the house with only one earlier? "We're taking both cars. Get into one of them." I say ushering them all out. "At! We're leaving again!" I call out before shutting the door. I give a little wave to Madds and Archer who are sitting by the window watching us leave, and then we're finally off to the birthday party.

"Spencer I swear to god if you don't get out of this car right now!" I hear Nick whisper shouting as we all get out of the cars. "Spence, I'll go and ask her right now if you want me too." I sigh. "I'll stay here til you do." He says, crossing him arms and not budging from the car. I leave the boys all standing near the car, aside from Noah who skips beside me to find Theo's mom.

"Oh Hunter you guys made it!" She says, spotting us first. "Thank you for inviting us, all of us." I say, but she waves me off. "Both you and your parents have included Theo since he was born, inviting you all was the least I could do. I'm so happy that him and Noah are friends." She says, and I laugh. "Theo is one person, we are eight." I remind her, but she just laughs.

"Noah! You're here! I was waiting forever for you!! Jesse is here too! Wanna go play?" Theo runs over and says. Noah looks up at me and I nod, taking the gift from him. "I'm going to leave this with the other presents for Theo okay, I'll be right here if you need me." I say he nods excitedly, as Theo takes his hand and the two run off to find Jesse.

"Did you hire any clowns for today? Spencer is refusing to get out of the car until he knows for sure." I say. "Oh no, no clowns, but we will be having a magician my sister in law hired. Theo's not a big fan of them either, so they were definitely not on the birthday essentials list." She says. "I can go tell him personally so you can stay and keep an eye on Noah." She says, noticing I haven't taken my eyes off him. I nod thanking her and head towards the bouncy castle.

"I promise it's not scary, look, you just climb in here and then jump!" Theo explains to Noah who looks unsure about it. "Hey buddy, why don't you try it, and if you don't like it, I'll be right here to help you off." I say. "Come on, I'll help you in." Jesse offers, slowly helping Noah inside. After a few minutes of adjusting, Noah decides he likes the bouncy castle and isn't as stiff anymore.

"Reid! L-Lex!" Noah calls out seeing them join me. Reid doesn't think twice before joining, but Alex holds back. "I'm not too big for this right?" He asks. "No, but just be careful since Noah and Theo are a lot smaller than all of you. "Got it!" He says climbing in.

I look over and see Nick trying to talk to Sebastian, who's blankly staring at him, most likely ignoring him. Sebastian's been stone walling Nick ever since that night with Sophie, and he's only just barely started to talk to me again. If he knows what's going on, he hasn't said anything, but Alex definitely knows something is up, and Spencer has been trying extremely hard to eavesdrop, so Nick and I haven't spoken much about it since either. Noah and Aaron are completely clueless to the tension, while Reid can feel it, but is trying his hardest to ignore it.
