Chapter 18: The Story of Us (Lily&James)

James

"You know I think I love Evans." I say leaning my head back on the headboard of my bed.

"Are you serious Prongs? I can't believe it, never would of thought." Sirius replies while smoking a cigarette.

"Your sarcasm isn't appreciated." I glaret.

"I find it quite amusing actually. " he says smirking.

"What's amusing?" Remus asks as he and Peter walk in.

"I think I love Lily." I state, "And Padfoot over here was being sarcastic."

Sirius just rolls his eyes, "I remember when she used to hate you."

"Those were the days." Remus adds smiling as well.

"You were fawning all over her." Sirius grins. "Fawning get it. " Sirius laughs at his own joke."But seriously."

"Shut up!" I groan trying to fight back a smile

"The wooing of Lily Evans, a 7 part saga!" Sirius says dramatically with his hands.

Flashback third person.

First year

Lily Evans just got sorted into Gryffindor. And sat in an empty seat next to Remus Lupin.

"My name is Lily Evans." She says.

"Plaueaser to meet you," He replies, "I am Remus Lupin."

"This place is amazing. I never would;have imagined such a place. I am a muggleborn."

"Ah. I am still amazed and I have been around magic my whole life."

Lily sighs, "I wish my friend Sev was in the same house as me."

"What house is he in?" He asks.

"Slytherin." She answers and a boy from two seats down interrupts the conversation. This boy is Sirius Black.

"Slytherin is a house full of nothing but evil people. "

Another boy, with messy hair, adds his input as well, He is sitting next to Sirius. His name is James Potter. "Yeah lucky you have us instead. "

"As if I would hang out with you two." Lily scoffs.

Second year

Lily is walking to class when she sees James, Sirius, Remus, and Peter corner Snape .

"Expelliarmus." James says and points his wand at Snape.

"Nice one James." Sirius chimes.

James then mutters a spell and Snape gets flown up in the air and is hanging by his ankle. Lily rushes towards the group of boys.

"Stop." She cries and push James. Breaking his concentration on the spell as Snape falls.

"I didn't need your help mudblood." Snape says and storms off.

"Look what you did you made me lose my only friend." She screams at James and runs after Severus.

Third year

James drops his bag on his way from Potion's class and a piece of parchment falls out. Lily picks it up and looks at it. On the cover it says Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs proudly present the Marauder's Map. Unsure what this parchment is Lily decides it's best to turn it so she heads to Professor Slughorn office when Sirius stops her.
