Chapter 28: Happy Belated Birthday

Btw Charlie's in sixth year (so he's 16) and  Mackenzie is actually a fifth year but got moved up to sixth (so she just turned 16)

It's been a week since my surgery. The finals are in a month and O.W.L.S in three. I'm doing my homework in the common room when Charlie bursts in shouting.

"Why didn't you tell me your birthday was like three months ago!"

"Well i didn't want you to make a big deal about." I respond.

"Well to bad I'm throwing you a party now." He says smirking.

"My birthday was January 9th it's March 23." I state.

"Well then it will be a belated birthday party." He says confidently.

"Now go and do something." he says pushing me out of the common room and into the hall way.

"Hey Mackenzie. What are you doing outside the common room?" Molly asks.

"I got kicked out. Care to keep me company?" I ask.

"Sure lets head to the black lake." She suggests.

Once Mackenzie was gone I gathered her friends: Lily, Iris,Bella, her brothers: James, Sirius,Remus, And there friend Peter and My brother Griffin to help set up. The quidditch team , and a bunch of other Gryffindors she probably doesn't know and her cousin Tonks were invited. I asked Molly as soon as I found out I missed my girlfriends birthday if she could stall Mackenzie and she agreed. I decided to have the party in the room of requirement. We walked to the wall and visualized a room for for a party. When we walked in it was set up for a party with streamers, balloons, tables, chairs, and banners. I sent the boys to get food like cake, ice cream, pizza, pop, punch etc. The girls were in charge of finishing up the decorations and music. As for gifts I already got her something awhile ago because I didn't know when her birthday was. Sirius of course knew her birthday and was waiting until summer to give her gift to her but know was a good time. He had to go to Dumbledore it get it James, and Remus all knew when her birthday was but they just forgot to give it to her. Lily knew when her birthday was to and got her something a while ago and was planning to give it to her privately but she hadn't found the right time yet. As for Bella and Iris they just quickly asked their parents to buy a specific item and send it to them ASAP. As we were getting everything together I wondered aloud

"why didn't she tell me her birthday. I'm her friend and her boyfriend!" Clearly frustrated.

"And you guys." I said pointing to Remus,James , Sirius, and Lily.

"You guys knew and you didn't tell me!"

"We didn't tell you because she asked us not to. She doesn't like all the attention she gets enough form her family and she doesn't want people to go out of there way to buy her things." Lily said.

"Ok whatever." I respond and get back to work.

In about an hour we were finished so I sent James to get his sister.

While they're planning the party

Once we got to the black lake we played twenty questions. Mackenzie is bold Molly is italics.
