Chapter 64: Growing up

Exams are done and they weren't as hard as I thought. It's the last day of school. The last day I'll ever be at hogwarts. The last feast I'll have in the great hall. The last of my childhood. Once I leave hogwarts I will grow up and become an adult. Bella, Iris, and I finish packing and then head to the great hall. Cinder sits with Pandora at the Ravenclaw table. They have become close. Ben is sitting at the Hufflepuff table with his friends. Bella, Iris, Malina and I sit at the Gryffindor table with Jake, Jackson, and Charlie across. As we eat the mail comes and drops a letter on each of our plates except for Malina.

Dear _____,

This isn't urgent but it's important please come to my office after breakfast.

Dumbledore

Ps. I like gumdrops.

"Are we in trouble?" I ask.

"I don't think so what did we do?" Iris answers.

We shrug it off and continue eating. When we are down eating the nine of us head to Dumbledore's office. We reach the gargoyle and I say gumdrops and it moves to let us up. We reach his office and see James, Lily, Sirius, Remus, Griffin, Peter, Arthur Weasley, Molly Weasley nee Prewett's Two brothers Fabian and Gideon, and Alice and Frank Longbottom.

"What are they doing here?" James asks worriedly.

"Well as most of you know a certain evil wizard names Voldemort has came to power. I have created an organization called the order of the Phoenix to fight against it."Dumbledore stated. He continued "With that being said. I am asking all of you of you would like to join the order and help fight against Voldemort and his followed the Deatheaters."

"I'm in! Iris and I say firmly.

"No it's too dangerous." Sirius, James, Remus, Charlie, Jackson and Griffin protest.

"Well to bad I'm joining. Sign me up!" I yell Dumbledore.

"Same!" Iris replied.

"I thought so." Dumbledore says with a twinkle in his eye.

"Fine sign me up." Bella, Lily, Alice, and Cinder said.

"Us too." The boys chorused.

"Well that's settled. Thank you for joining." Dumbledore said and we left.

We went outside and said goodbyes to Lily, Sirius, James, Griffin, and Remus.

"Bye Kenzie see you in a few hours." James said hugging me.

"See you soon missy." Lily said hugging me as well.

"See you pup." Remus said ruffling my hair.

"Bye Mac." Sirius says kissing my head.

"See you soon L.B. See you at the wedding. Remember your going Shopping with Caroline in the 5th." Griffin says hugging me.

"Ok say hey to Caroline and Oliver. I can't wait to meet the little guy." I call.

Once they all leave Charlie takes my hand and leads me to the Black lake. We sat done laying my head in his shoulder and talked about all our memories at hogwarts.

"I can't believe we are graduating." Charlie says intertwining are hands.

"I remember when I was 9 and Sirius came back from his first year. He told me all about how great the school was and that there even was a lake named after him. The BLACK lake. And I believed him." I say laughing.

"Really?" He said laughing.

"Yeah he was my older brother. I believed everything he said when i was younger. He's my older brother. I looked up to him." I say.

"I think it's cute." He said kissing my head.

I didn't realize how late it was until my stomach rumbled.  "Come on I'm hungry. And we missed lunch." I sad getting up and holding out my hand.

"Ok let's go." He said taking my hand and pulling himself up.

We headed to the great hall and for engulfed by hugs from our friends.

"Where were you?" Cinder asked.

"Yeah after we came out of the office you guys were gone." Iris added.

"Where you and Charlie  getting friendly. " Bella said raising her eyebrows.

"Ew gross. Please tell me you didn't." Malina said.

"We didn't." I say to Bella.

"We were just at the black lake taking about our years at hogwarts." I say.

"Sure." Iris said.

"Shut up we didn't." I say hitting her in the arm.

"Ok stop. He's my brother I'm leaving." Malina said sitting down.

We all sat down and enjoyed are last feast in the great hall.

"Before you all go back to your dorms I would like to say a few words. Pip. Jace Wayland. Shadowhunters. But in all seriousness I want to say good luck to all are seventh years. They will be greatly missed they are a great group of kids. One of the best hogwarts has seen. They all are great friends." Dumbledore says looking at my friends and I. "They also are exceedingly Smart. They will be greatly missed. Now off to bed." Dumbledore finished.

We all headed to bed. As we fell asleep all the seventh years felt a bit sad knowing they would never return to Hogwarts as students. Maybe some return as teachers and maybe some never return at all.
