Mackenzie

It's been a week since I got hit, and I'm STILL in the hospital wing. Just make sure I am okay since I lost a lot of blood or whatever. We have a week left of school and word got around the Gryffindor is in the lead for the House Cup. I was staring at the wall, bored out of my mind, when James came in with bloodshot eyes and messy hair, well more messy than normal.

"Hey shorty! Sorry I haven't been able to visit. I got caught up in my own problems." He says guilt swimming in his eyes.

"It's okay James," I answer, "I get. But you should know it's killing just as much."

He looks at me in shock, "How did you know?"

"Aw please you can't keep anything from me," I smirk, "Besides girls talk. About everything.

He sighs, "I'm guessing she mentioned her new boyfriend then. The same person who put you in that bed."

"James. It's tearing Lily up inside. "

"Doesn't look like it." He grumbles.

I sigh, "Could you at least try and make amends with Lily. Try and be friends again."

"I want to, trust me." James states, "But I just don't know how. I never was good with expressing my feelings. Usually I just come off as loud and obnoxious."

I chuckle, "Believe me I know." Remembering the many times he'd shout in the great hall and ask Lily to become his girlfriend.

"Not helping!" he whines, "What do I dooo."

I shrug, "I don't know write a poem. You'll figure It out."

James nods taking it into consideration, "Enough about me how about you?"

"I'm good just bored." I look around, "Madame Pomfrey said I can get up and walk. Care to join me for a stroll?"

"I would like that." James says and sticks out his arm. I gladly accept it and we walk to the courtyard. Lily and Snape are there, but by the looks of it they've been fighting.

"You know what Severus I'm sick and tired of you calling people mudbloods or blood traitors. It's just plain rude and do you ever think that you're also insulting me when you say those things if you haven't noticed IM A MUGGLE BORN! I didn't even like you in the first place just as a friend and now, because of you the guy I ACTUALLY like won't even talk to me." Lily yells. "So we are done."

"FINE!" Snape seethes, "I don't like you anyways filthy mudblood."

James and I stare in shock at what we just witnessed. Lily rarely yells and the fact that Snape called her mudblood. I just don't know what to say. I turn to see James whose face is as red as a tomato. He's boiling with anger, and I'm guessing it's because of what Snape said. I'm shocked Lily actually yelled and I look at James who is shocked as well but also mad. Which I'm guessing is because of Snape.

James stocks off while I go comfort a crying Lily.

James

I decided to take Mackenzie's advice and write Lily a poem. I was in Transfiguration trying to make the poem rhyme but I can't think of a word that rhymes with Lily.

"Does it count if I rhyme Lily with Lily flower?" I ask aloud looking at Sirius who shrugs.

"Please pay attention Mr. Potter and no it doesn't count." Professor Mcgonagall answers standing in front of my desks.

"Thank you Professor." I smirk and scribble the last of my poem just as the bell rings. I quickly gather my things and spot Lily in the When the bell rings I quickly spot Lily in the library. When's she not looking I fold the poem and slip it into her textbook.

Lily

I'm in defense the dark arts when I open my textbook and a piece of paper of folded up paper falls out. It has my name on it and I look around the room before opening it.

I'm writing this because I like you

I hope you feel the same way too.

I've loved you since first year

I just want to hug you and call you dear.

My dearest Lily

You make my insides feel silly

I hope you can forgive me

And go to hogsmeade with thee

I know this is probably lame

But it's from James.

I laugh at his bluntness at the end. I sigh and hug the note to me chest before folding it up can continuing to pay attention to the lesson.

Mackenzie

I'm still stuck in the hospital wing but Madame Pomfrey says I should be able to leave today. I managed to get all the work I've missed done, there isn't much considering there's only a week left of school.

I hope James takes my advice and tries to talk to Lily. Both are attracted to each other but Lily to scared to admit it and James has no game.

There's a hogsmeade trip coming up. Maybe James will grow a pair and ask Lily. I think I might ask Sirius to go with me. I miss spending time with him.

I get up and wonder the halls of the castle spotting Sirius talking to Remus.

"Hey Strangers." I greet.

"Mackenzie!" Sirius exclaims and gives me a bone crushing hug.

"Hello Kenzie," Remus nods.

"Nice to see you Remus," I smiled warmly and turn to face my brother. "Siri I wanted to know if you wanted to go to hogsmeade with me? I want to spend time with my older brother."

Sirius glares, "Don't call me Siri, but as for hogsmeade. I'll go with you sis."

I smile happily, "Okay see you tomorrow morning?"

I make my way to the Hospital wing and Madame Pomfrey says I'm free to leave. I grab my remaining things and make my way to the common room.
