Chapter 46: A Full Moon and Quidditch Game

November 4

Iris

"I have the worst luck." I say storming into the common room towards my friends .

"What's up Is?" Mazie says looking up.

"Look at this." I say and shove the calendar into her hands.

"My time of the month is today which is the day before the first Quidditch game against Slytherin." I grumble.

"Aw don't worry Iris all girls go through it." Bella says patting me in the back.

Not that time of the month. I though to my self. "Well don't worry I'll be there and help you." Mazie said.

Great know I'll be in a bad mood all day. I think as I head to DADA. I walk in to see what we are learning today and with just my luck it's about werewolves. Just great.

Time skip to 11:45 pm

Third

Just as a precaution Mackenzie headed to the whomping willow already in animangus form with Iris in front of her. Once they got to the Shrieking shack they saw Padfoot, Prongs, Wormtail, and Moony.

"Are you too ok?" Moony asked.

"Yeah." Iris said wearily.

Mackenzie just nodded. In a few minutes the Lupin siblings began to change like they normally do. Tiger Lily was playing with Iris when suddenly Padfoot accidentally stepped on Iris' tale. Causing Iris to slash and cut tiger Lily's chest. Tiger Lily growled in pain. Iris started to advanced at her with her teeth bared. Padfoot saw this and knocked Iris out of the way causing Moony to attack Padfoot. Tiger Lily saw this and got in Between Padfoot and Moony. Moony clawed at Tiger Lily's face. Finally James helped and broke up the fight. Just as he did hat the Lupin siblings changed back. Padfoot, Prongs, Wormtail, and Tiger lily followed changing back to themselves. They all had knocks and scratches but of course Mackenzie had it the worst. She had bloody cuts all over her face but they weren't deep and a very long deep cut across her chest which was soaking through her shirt.

"Shoot did I do that?" Remus asked.

"Just the face. Iris got me in the chest." Mackenzie says before passing out.

"Please let me carry her to the hospital wing." Sirius pleaded.

"no your going to get caught when you not supposed to be here I got this." Iris said lifting Mackenzie up and taking her to the hospital wing. "

Iris

"Madame Pomfery I need help." I called.

"Oh my." She said taking a look at the two of us.

"Rough night?" Madame Pomfery said working on Mazie cut in her chest.

When she was down with Mazie she turned to me and fixed my cuts.

Time skip

Mackenzie

I woke up in the hospital wing groggily and sore.

"Good thing your up." Pomfery says waking over.

"I can play right. We both can right." I ask.

"Yes much to my dismay your both allowed to play. Just drink this." She said heading me a healing potion. I drank it and headed to the great hall to eat and then get ready for the match.

Third

"Alright Team listen up. We are playing against a rivals Slytherin which means they'll play dirty and of anything to when. So if they push or give you a shove to it back. Play tough and aggressive but not dirty. Remember what we did in practice." Mackenzie told her team.

"We don't have to win but I want you to try and play your hardest." Iris added.

Iris looked a little tired but other then that she was fine. The team nodded their heads in agreement. Then they grabbed their brooms and headed out to the pitch. Alex Lee graduated last year so Ben was the announcer. Madame Hooch told both teams she wanted a fair game. She then blow the whistle released the bludgers and snitch can and threw up the quaffle and the game began. Malina grabbed the quaffle  and sped to the goal post. She quickly passed to her brother Charlie and he shot and scored.

"Charlie wood just scored bringing the score 10-0." Ben broadcasted.

Little did anyone know a big black dog was watching the game. Over the course of two hours Slytherin only scored 20 points and Gryffindor scored 100. The Slytherin beaters kept trying to whack Malina, Charlie, and Jackson off their brooms but had terrible aim and missed them all by a foot each team. Mackenzie and Jake however were hitting who they wanted to perfectly. The nailed the chasers a couple of times and the keeper a few. One time when Jackson went to score Mackenzie hit one at the keeper and he had to move out off the way so he wouldn't get hit giving Jackson an opportunity to score. In the third hour of playing Iris finally caught sight of the snitch and chased after it. In matter of seconds she caught before the Slytherin seeker even knew where it was.

"And Iris Lupin has caught the snitch causing Gryffindor to win 250-20." Ben announced.

The stands erupted in cheers except do the Slytherin section who were grumbling. Mackenzie walked over to Iris and patted her on the back.

"Good catch mate. How you feeling." Mackenzie asked.

"A bit tired and sore from last night but I'm fine how's your chest?" Iris replied.

"Fine all that's left is a scar." She responded. Both girls then went to find their friends and enjoy there win.
