Chapter 15: Truth is Revealed

Remus

Iris and I were excused from classes today. We still weren't feeling that well after the full moon. My sister was sleeping so I decided to get some fresh air. As I walk I spot Lily sitting in the courtyard, reading a textbook. Once I get closer I realize she's on a page about werewolves. I slowly start to back away, knowing that she isn't reading about werewolves for homework.

"Hello Remus," She says without looking up.

"Hi," I mutter and she looks up at me. Her eyes give away that she knows.

I take a deep breathe, "So you know then?"

She nods, "Every time I tried to talk to James about it he got all mysterious and annoying. So I thought I better talk to you." She pauses for a moment. "Why didn't you tell me yourself?" She asks.

"I was very afraid Lily." I say slowly, "You know you guys are like family to me. I thought you would be disgusted if you found out."

"Remus I know you. You are one of the kindest people I have ever meet." Lily states.

"But you don't understand. It's all ready driving me crazy. James, Sirius, Mackenzie, and Peter they're ready to risk everything to help me." I sneer, "And for what only because I am an uncontrollable beast. Hell Mackenzie is in the hospital because of me. I don't want to hurt anyone else. I'll never forgive myself if I did."

"Oh Remus," Lily says taking my hand, "I know you feel awful but you have stop beating yourself up over it. She's fine and you would be to if you just let people take care of you. People who love you."

"Thanks Lily. I needed that." I say thickly.

"One more question," Lily asks, "Iris she's one to isn't she?"

"Yeah," I mutter, "Look I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner. "

"it's all right Remus everyone has their secrets. But if you ever need to talk I am here. " Lily smiles, "Now let's get you back to the castle."

"Yes lily flower." I say using the nickname James calls her. She just rolls her eyes.

"What am I going to do with you." She says as we head back up to the castle.
