Chapter 21: Christmas Shopping

Lily

Yesterday was the last day before break and the girls and I decided to go Christmas shopping at Hogsmeade today. Naturally, I wake up early, and once it's after 4 I can't go back to bed. It's 9 right now and if the others don't get up soon it'll be too snowy to walk.

I finish the braid in my hair and walk into Mackenzie, Bella, and Iris' room.

"Wake up!" I say in a sing song voice.

"What? Who's hurt? Is someone dead?!" Mackenzie grumbles shooting up out of bed.

I hit her with a pillow, "No one is hurt, dead, or in trouble. It's time to go to Hogsmeade."

"What?" Iris says groggily. Her hair was all over the place.

"Get ready for Hogsmeade. WE'RE GOING CHRISTMAS SHOPPING!" I squeal!

By now Mackenzie was fully await and shuffling around the room to get dressed and ready. I shook Iris once more and she finally got up and began to get ready. Through all this commotion Bella still hasn't woken up yet. I look to Mackenzie for help.

"I got this." She says before clearing her throat. " BELLA LOOK IT'S JAKE WITH NO SHIRT ON DOWNSTAIRS!" She screams.

Bella bolts right up."I'm up. I'm up." She says looking widley around. "He's not here. You liars." She says grumpily.

Iris rolls her eyes, "Get ready we have to go Christmas shopping."

Lily!" I turn around to see James running up to us. He puts his finger up "Give me a minute." Once he catches his breath, he takes on big gulp of air before asking, "Would you like to accompany to Hogwarts with me?"

Lily tilts her head with a pout, "Sorry babe. But I'm going Christmas shopping with my girls. Maybe we can meet at the three broomsticks after I'm done?"

James sighs, "Ok see you then."

"Who should we buy for first?" Bella asks.

"Let's buy the boys presents first."

"See you guys back at the castle." I wave to the girls as I head to the three broomsticks to meet James.

Mackenzie

"Full moon tonight," Iris whispers.

I nod and change the subject, "Let's go see what the boys are up too."

"Actually I was going to meet Jackson by the black lake." Iris says blushing.

"And Jake agreed to help me with my potions homework." Bella adds shyly.

I laugh, "Ok I'll just go find them myself then."

After a few minutes I find the three morons and Remus.

"Hey guys," I say

"Hey Kenzie," They chorus.

"So it's that time of the month. What time should I be there?"

"Nope, you're not going," Remus insists, "You got hurt last time."

"I'm fine it don't even notice they're there any more." I reason.

"He might be right Kenzie." Sirius adds.

"Please let me go. If not for me think of Iris. She'd want me there." I plead with puppy eyes.

"Fine." Sirius grumbles reluctantly.

"Ok but if you get as much as a bruise or scratch you leave right away. I don't need Sirius and James after me." Remus states.

"Moony even if you did hurt her it wouldn't be your fault. It would be mine, Prongs, and Wormtail fault because we didn't protect her." Sirius reassures.

"I'm bored lets do some pranking." I suggest.

"I like the way you think little sis." Sirius says smirking.

James

"So what did you get me?" I ask Lily taking a sip of my butterbeer.

"I didn't get you anything. " she replies with a smirk.

What? I'm hurt lily flower. I thought you loved me." I say pretending to be hurt.

"I do love you." Lily treasures, "Ok fine I'll tell you what I got you. I got you an... I'm not telling you you'll have to wait till Christmas."

"But I want to know now." I whine.

She leans in and kisses me on the lips.

"Can you wait a week?" She asks.

"I don't know maybe?" I say pouting.

She kisses me again.

"Ok I guess I could wait a week." I smirk.

"Oh shut up. " she says hitting my shoulder with a huge smile.

"It's getting late." I state jerking to the rising moon outside, "We should get back."

"Oh right. Let's get going." She says.

Now that Lily knows about are furry problems it's easier to sneak out. Without her worrying her that I'm cheating on her.

Sirius

"Where the hell is James?" I ask aloud.

"I don't know but we should get going." Mackenzie adds.

"Your right let's go." I sigh.

The four of us walk towards the Whomping willow. Peter turned into his animagus form and undid a knot in the tree. The tree freezes and Remus goes in followed by Kenzie in her animagus form and then me in mine Just before I follow them in though I see a stag sprinting towards the tree.

"Finally." I bark. James grunts a sorry.

Once we both get in we head to the shrieking shack where Iris is already waiting for us.

Third person

The Lupin siblings change and the others begin their duties. Remus and Sirius start playing, while Iris and Mackenzie does the same. James stands by the door so they can't get out and Peter sits in one of James' antlers. Soon the two werewolves, Tiger and dog are all playing and chasing each other. Mackenzie becomes tried and goes to a corner. She curls up in a ball and drifts to sleep. Remus sees this and goes behind her and lays in front of her protectively. James steps towards the two of them making sure nothing bad is going to happen. Remus growls and James takes the hint and steps back. Iris comes over and lays next to James and Sirius goes on the other side of Mackenzie. James just looks at the four sleeping and smiles. He soon joins them with Wormtail still on his antlers.
