The first time we met (Chapter Forty-Six)
I came back home and sat on the couch waiting for Lace to come back. It wouldn’t be long since I saw she left not so long after I got up from the swings.
I tried to think about what I should do with my relationship and Harry when my mind got interrupted by the front door opening.
- Mary I am sorry I upset you in the park, I didn’t mean to but I was happy you forgave Harry and you talked with him. She said entering the living room when she saw me sat there.
- I know. I am just mad at me I can’t figure out what is best for me and I hurt everyone around. Just promise me to never let me go, I’ve always felt alone in my love story and I am tired of it.
- Of course I will never, we are besties for some reason huh. She said as she pulled me into a huge hug.
I was happy she wasn’t mad at me after all my drama since we moved in. She has always been here for me and I would die if she ever leaves me forever. Since my cat died a few years ago I had difficulties to speak out my problem but when she came on, I knew I could trust her.
- Lace. I said as I pulled back from our hug. I have to go to the restaurant tonight so I have to take the car.
- Yeah. Can I come with you?
- Well. I said as I scratched the back of my neck. I don’t think you can… it is just that it is Niall. He called me earlier to go to the place we first met and he haven’t told me to come with the person I was with or anything to mention you so I don’t know if you should…
- That’s fine. Maybe he want to talk to you about Harry, but isn’t he in the USA?
- That’s what I wanted to ask him but he cut the line just after I said I would be there… I don’t know what is going on.
- Well you will see in a few hours. Now, why don’t we prepare some lunch. I’m hungry and it changes your mind when you are occupied.
- Sure, I am starving!
We’ve been cooking the best breakfast/lunch ever. We cooked some eggs with veggies in it. We baked some bacons and ham and do add to this delicious meal, I prepared a fruit salad accompanied by a big milk glass.
- Enjoy you meal! Said Lace as she takes a big bite of her eggs.
- Like you said. I said laughing at her attacking her plates.
Our meal finished, we cleaned up everything and went to the living to relax a little since the last days have been quite rock and roll for me and also for Lace, mostly because of me. I have run away two times and I have been mad at her, when she has done nothing to me, she has just been a good friend.
It was now 7pm and I had to get ready for the restaurant. I dressed quite casual, it was only the baton rouge, nothing very formal. I put on black high-waist short with a floral cropped t-shirt that just stopped at the edge of the short. I chose my favourite shoes, white converse, to fit it all. I did my make-up and curled my blonde hair and I was all ready to leave. I drove all the way to the restaurant and I was quite nervous, I didn’t know what will be waiting for me out there.
- Hi. A charming lady welcomed me as I enter. You must be Mary. She took a look at a picture, smiled and waited for my answer.
