"Hey so who you takin to prom tyler?" Jess asked.
"Uhm... Why ?" Tyler asked.
"Hey I don't have a date.." Cassidy blurted. Jess gave her a rude look .
"Well me neither!" Jess yelled.
"Alright .. I'm gonna find Jaden, I needa ask him something ." Tyler said walking away.
"Shit, i don't know what's up with jess but I had to get away !" Tyler said.
"Oh yeah i forgot ! She just got here with alex!" Jaden replied.
"Haha what? Alex is here? Pretty sure she texted me that she was gonna watch keeping up with- shit I forgot she's sarcastic at times!" Tyler replied.
"Anyways I'm gonna stay far away from jess and Cassidy for today, who knows if they have a cat fight x, no actually thatd be cool !" Tyler said.
**back to Alex now **
"Yeah then this one girl I dated recorded every conversation we had and .. I had to let her go.." Ryan said.
"Well it seems like you've dated some pretty interesting girls !" I replied. Ryan was actually a fun person to talk to." You know if you ever need advice into finding normal girls! I'm here for you , oh how about that girl there! She's been starring at you for a while haha!" I said.
" alex it's fine, I'd ... Rather just chill here with you." Ryan said.
"Hey did you see matts fountain in the front yard ! Come on!" Ryan said pulling my arm. Matts got some pretty cool fountains.
"Hey we can sit by here!" Ryan said.
"Hey, can I ask you something?" I asked. He nodded.
"Why aren't you chilling with your friends ?"
"Well... It's because .. I wanted to I don't know, just get to know others."Tyler walked out the door and walked towards us.
"Hey there you are, marina has been asking me where you were apparently your sister needs you to pick her up oh hey alex" Tyler said .
"Aw shit Really?!" Ryan said checking the time.
"Alright well before I leave can I get your number alex?" Ryan asked.
"Yeah sure it's 521, -"
"Your sister needs you now ! She said its urgent !
"Yeah but -" Ryan said
"URGENT!" Tyler yelled.
"Ok I'll get your number from you tomorrow I guess ... " ryan said confused looking at Tyler.
"Alright then... Can I get a hug" Ryan asked with his arms out.
"Pshh ok kinda weird dude but sure.." Tyler said as he hugged him. This kid was acting a little weird.
"No- I meant - ok never mind.." Ryan said walking into his car.
"HEY! ... Why'd you hug him haha!" I asked."well I mean if you want me to pass on the hug!?" Tyler said hugging me.
"Well I'll be back.." Tyler said. So 20 min later Tyler walks out the house .
"Hey, you ok ?" I asked. He had this weird look on his face.
" I think I got food poisoning.. But I'll be ok-" Tyler said then fell down.
"Dude you're a mess.. You needa get back home!" I said ! So I drove him back leaving my carkeys behind for jess to get back home. I brought him to his bed.
"You can leave its ok!" Tyler said . I thought about leaving but food poisoning isn't fun.
"Nah it's ok, I'll just wait here until your parents get back. He smiled. So he made me make him soup and warm his blankets! "Alright can I sit now since i did all that stuff ?" . He nodded. We just talked.
"Hey can I ask you something?" Im asked.
"Shoot!"
" so.. Why didn't you let me finish giving my number to Ryan ?"
"Well.. I Umm- you know , who knows what kind of guy he is. " Tyler replied. I was confused .
"But why does it matter to you haha?" I said. He didn't say anything.
"You know , we're friends I guess .. And I don't know , I think you're not Like other girls , and I don't know, you're not the type of person I'd wanna see be treated badly ." Tyler said the coughed.
"No but really it's um Cuz, I wanted to mess with you !" He said . I smiled.
"Right! ... !"I said . He smiled back. I couldn't tell whether he was serious or not.
"Hey so .. Do u .. Like Ryan ?" Tyler asked. I had to think about it.
"Umm he's a cool dude why?" I asked.
".. Nothin , anyways my mom just texted that she'll be back so you can go ." Tyler said . I grabbed my bag.
"Oh hey alex..." Tyler said.
"Yeah ?"
"I really hate you for the record !" Tyler said laughing.
"Bye .." I replied . So after that nonsense was over I went back home.
"Hey mom!..... I thought you'd be at work..."
"Uh no I got to leave early, but since its past your curfew .... You missy have to throw out the trash for a month!" My mom said. I mean, I didn't mind. All I had to do is bring out garbage to the end of our drive way.simple.
***next day***
So I was planning to spend my Saturday, relaxing , watching some shows but then I get a call.
"Hey you free tonight?"
"Umm I was really planning to just stay home and relax..." I replied.
"Alright cause me and the guys and the girls are gonna go to six flags. Anyways it's ok ! Have fun alex !" Jess said. Fewfff , so I went to grab some snacks before I watched some movies on my laptop. My mom was talking to someone on the phone but I had no idea who. She turned around.
"Alright... I just got a call from my work and I have to work at 4pm for a late shift till 1 am." My mom said.
"Okay ... And what?" I asked while eating an apple.
"Don't have any parties while I'm gone!
You can have a couple of people over but no more than 20 people ok I'm gonna go shower!" My mom replied. I mean, I felt like no one was listening to me when I said TODAY WAS THE DAY I WANTED TO RELAX and do nothing. So anyways,  it was 4pm and my mom had left. I had the house to myself. So once I finished watching one of the hunger games I sat outside in my backyard just enjoying the warm sun. And my music may have been a little loud. I could faintly hear someone yell I love that song! I looked around but didn't see a face. Then Someone knocked on my backyard door and it was Ryan.
"Um hey, what are you doin here ?" I asked.
"Well I was walking down the street to actually meet a girl that I'm going on a date with tonight. Yeah My car is getting fixed so now we're bussing together." Ryan said laughing.
"haha that's pretty funny! Well I hope the date goes well !" I replied.
"So are you hanging out with your new boyfriend ?" Ryan asked. I was confused."I don't have a boyfriend.." I replied. "But, I was talking to Tyler and he said you're dating Chris now.." ryan replied. "well thats not true" i said laughing eating my grapes. so we chatted for about 5 more minutes then he left. 20 minutes later I walked my friends dog around town. This dog was so easy to deal with so that made me pretty pretty happy. Some guy and his dog literally almost bumped into us.
"Hey move out the way !" I heard someone say behind me as he skateboarded past me with his dog.
"Hey thanks ! I'm so glad that you pushed me into the road with a car almost crashing me rather than that pile of leaves!" I said brushing the rocks off my knees. "Hey sorry! He said as he skated towards me.
"You alright?" He asked. I kept brushing the tiny rocks off me then looked up .
"Oh hey!"
"Yeah I'm fine ." I said then walked away.
"Hey I'm Leo... And Ur .. Walking away.." He said as he ran to me.
"Hey .. I'm sorry, I thought you wouldn't wanna be pushed into that bush of pricks.."
"Yeah whatever , bye." I said walking away again.
"What school do you go to?"
"Hailing heights ..? "
"Oh that's cool , I go to Georgia Highschool, it's close to yours!" Leo said.
"Hey Umm, I'm truly sorry for pushing you down like that, hey maybe we can walk our dogs together sometime !" Leo said. I laughed.
"Yeah this isn't my dog so that's gonna be a no!" I said.
"Oh shit, Umm I guess I'll see you around sometime," Leo said as he walked away.
"Wait what?!?" I yelled.
"Well I think my school soccer team is gonna be playing against other school teams and it takes place at your school." Leo said. Well all I could think about is ... Wtf.
"Okay then .... " I said as I walked away. So after that weird interaction I sat back in my backyard. On Instagram , there were posts of people at this one party near North Winz which is a place where houses are literally 600 m apart and some are on hills. A friend I had recently moved in town and was at that party so I was debating on whether I should crash it. I mean, there's always a Sunday to relax Cuz Saturday's are for parties .. Am I right . Ok anyways so I quickly put on some shorts and a jean jacket. This address was a little confusing to get to. But I found my way. So I walked in and I recognized some people but most people were from other schools. So I saw my friend Alice. By the way she's an old friend of mine from grade 7 but she actually went to a real public school while I was homeschooled. I had a couple friends back then and she was one of them. I haven't spoken to her in person. She was standing by the kitchen on her phone.
"Alice? Hey it's your one and only !"
"Shit !!! Alex! I haven't seen you in a while ! How'd you even get here?" She asked. I laughed.
"Umm I saw instagram posts of people at this house , I mean everyone crashes a party so who'll notice?" I said.
"You're right , anyways how's it going ?" Alice asked. We talked for about 10 minutes then someone decided to walk over to Me from behind and ask me to leave.
"Yo , I don't recognize you ! Get outta here!" He said. I then turned around.
"Yeah it's alright , I just wanted to talk with my friend, I guess I'll leave ." I said as I started walking.
"Wait , hey what's your name!"
"Dude , don't tell me to leave then ask for my name !" I said laughing.
"Wow that's a long name!" He said. I walked out to my car. So It was about 11 pm and I drove back to my house. Strangely enough, the window in my house was open. Then I heard footsteps upstairs. I was walking slowly then I see 6 idiots who went by the name of jess , tyler, Jaden, Ashley, Katie and Jake. They were in my theatre room watching movies.
"Um hey, what are YOU ALL doing in MY HOUSE?" I asked after i shut the screen off.They all turned around.
"Umm we were Uhh can I have some help here guys ?" Tyler said.
"Well we all wanted to watch a movie and we knew you had a theatre room and we thought you wouldn't mind .." Jess said as she ate popcorn.
"Wha- you even popped popcorn- ok "
"Wait, the real question is ,why were you out when you said you were staying home and couldn't go to the amusement fair...?" Tyler said. They all stared.
"I was meeting a friend anyways , my mom will be here soon so you guys better leave!" I said.
**weekend is over***
So I got ready for school and ate an apple. So today there was some soccer tournament for the whole day at school. So during lunch I sat at one of the bleachers outside on the guest side because the other seats were full . I came to watch my friends Tommy and Jackson play from the other school.I met them at a party . My friends were taking kinda long but there was like a break during the game. I walked over to tommy.
"Hey, next time you should try getting the ball in the net !" I said then he turned around.
"What's up? Your school is getting crushed anyways!" He said as he drank his water.
"Yeah well it's probably because our school has a team of idiots who can't do shit!" I said laughing! I mean half of the guys on the team could barley control the ball properly.
"Hey man, coach wants us to warm up- oh hey wait you guys know eachother?" Leo said.
" yeah dude , alex is my bud, alright I'm gonna quickly get my new cleats from the locker room" tommy said running.
"So... Alex, is your name ...." Leo said smiling.
"Yeah... ." I said slowly.
"Hey, I'm really sorry For the whole, skateboard incident ,!" Leo said.
"No it's okay, I had a couple off
cuts and bruises , no biggie .." I said sarcastically. He laughed.then started smiling.
"What..?" I asked.
"You're just real pretty -"
"What?"
"Uhhh nothing , anyways I gotta get.. Ready... " Leo said laughing .i smiled back.
"Alright then,... " I replied. So there was about 10 more minutes till there next part of the game started. I saw tyler and Jaden so I went to talk to them.
"Word around, is that you guys are getting your asses smoked!" I said laughing.
"Ha ha very funny, but they're only ahead by 2 points!" Tyler said.
"Yeah, plus they should of been fouled but the dumb reff didn't call shit!" Jaden said. So then Jaden went to get his jersey .
"Hey Brooks, are you coming with us to that pizza place tonight?" Tyler asked.
"Sure what time ..?" I asked.
"Uhh maybe around 6:30." He replied.
So the game continued. The guys from my school were starting to catch up which was pretty funny to me actually. There was a time out. There was 50 more seconds into the game and the crowd was so loud. I started walking back in the school.
"Hey! Leo ! If your school wins you have to go on a date with me!" I said close to him at the field jokingly.
"What?- you know what, sure!" Leo replied. Right at 10 seconds, Jaden scored a goal and our school won! Everyone started running towards the guys and holding them up chanting our school name.
"Well I guess that means no." I said to Leo as I walked away.
So after school I decided to get some chips at a corner store and I noticed someone around the corner. It was this girl, who's face was familiar but I didn't know her name. I heard her crying but I didnt really know about what . So I walked over to her.
"Umm hi, I heard you crying .. are you okay !?" I asked.
"Haha I'm ... I'm fine ... It was just about something dumb.." She replied.
"Hey, you're wearing a hailing heights sweater.. Do you go there ?" I asked.
"Yeah um I'm Monica I'm I'm in grade 12 ." She said.
"Are you sure you're okay ?" I asked.
"Yeah.. Everything's fine..." She said then left. Honestly I've been encountering so many weird things.
** next day****
So it was lunch time. I started walking around and saw Monica.
"Hey! Wanna sit with me and my friends?!" I asked .she looked unsure.
"Umm my friends are actually waiting over there but, hey id like to meet your friends !" Monica said smiling. So we walked over to the table we eat at but only Jaden and Ashely were there Cause jess was at a sport tournament .
"So this is Jaden and Ashley .. They're awful at fooseball!" I said.
"Yeah alright, sup!" Jaden said. Ashley also said hi. Tyler came to the table.
"Oh and this is tyler," I said to Monica.
"Hi!" She replied.
"Oh hey, I think I'm friends with your cousin , Martin right?" Tyler said.
"Yeah he's my cousin, sadly.... " she said laughing.everything went real well.
So I went to meet jess at the changeroom at the end of the day to give her some clothes.
"Hey, so wanna go to Dave and busters with like me jake Jaden and Katie and Tyler ?" Jess asked.
"I'm down. Wait but I think Jaden told me that Tyler and Monica are going to a movie together." I replied. She texted him on her phone.
"Oh? Who's Monica?" She said a little tense.
"Just a girl, alright I have to go pick up some toothpaste for my mom so I'll see ya later!" I said then left. So later I Finally arrived at the place. Me and Jaden were playing air hockey against eachother and as usual , I win EVERYTHING! So I walked over to jess and I saw her like texting.
"Hey, what's up ? Why aren't you playing any games?" I asked. She kept texting. I waved my hand in her face.
"Oh hey, I'm just kinda annoyed that Tyler would ditch on Dave and busters, apparently this is one of his fav places to go!" She replied. Then we played hoops against each other. So the night was fun and over.
**next day****
So I got to class and Jake wasn't there. I got a text from jess saying to ask tyler if he was gonna come with us again to Dave and busters. He wasn't in class yet. I saw him hug Monica then walk in.
"Hey, so are you gonna come with us to Dave and busters?" I asked. He looked at his phone and started texting.
"Hey!, ugh Whatever!" I said turning around to sit back at my chair.
"Oh hey yeah Umm , I'm actually hanging out with Monica so no I'm not going." Tyler said as he started texting.
"Okay then, have fun !" I said. So once jess found out he wasn't going, she didn't even wanna go to Dave and busters this night.
***next day***
So I walked over to jess.
"Hey ? What's up !?" I asked .
"Hey! Umm wanna come with me Jaden Katie and Mike to the fair ?" She asked.
"What? No tyler?" I asked.
"Well... I doubt he'd wanna go you can ask him though !" She said. So I started walking to class and saw tyler.
"Hey!" I said to tyler.
"Hey Brooks what's up?" Tyler said.
"Wanna come to the fair with jess Jaden, Katie, Mike and me?" I asked.
"Uhh... I can't...,hope jess doesn't piss at me... " Tyler said .
"This is the 3rd time you blew us off? Why?" I asked. He started laughing .
"Are you like jealous or something? He said. I gave him the are you serious look.
"I'm not jealous.. It's just that, we thought you were our friend .. But you're blowing us off for the 3rd time... Like dude, it's cool that you have a life too but ... You know what , sorry for being annoying it's ok if you don't wanna go.." I said laughing. He nodded.
"Hey, alex!" He said grabbing my arm.
"I know jess likes me ... And I only like her as a friend. How come she doesn't understand?" Tyler asked.
"I don't know, maybe because you're hot?" I replied.
"Haha what?!? You? Alex Brooks thinks I'm hot?" Tyler said.
"No, she thinks you're hot, and maybe you should be the one to flat out say you don't like her if she keeps going after you because I'm not gonna speak for you!" I said as I walked away. So after school I drove to the fair to meet up with by friends. They told me they'd be somewhere near the Ferris wheel. I started walking and saw Monica .
"Oh hey!"
"Hey! Alex I can't thank you enough! So who are you here with?" Monica asked. I was a little confused.
"Oh um I'm actually meeting up with my friends ! I'll see you around !" I replied then left. So I got to my friends. We went on a bunch of rides. The lines were long but we still waited. So the guys later went on other rides while jess me and the other girls went to go find food. So I was at the hotdog stand.
"Man I could really go for cotton candy!" Jess said.
"Hey I think I saw one by the swinger ride.." I said. She went to go get one.
***jess's perspective ***
Jess started walking and noticed someone familiar.
"Tyler? I thought you were busy today...? Jess asked.
"Yeah I was but now I'm not." Tyler replied.
"Alright so I'm throwing a party in two days ! You better be there!" Jess said.
"Yeah I will..." Tyler replied then started texting.
"Hey? Who are you here with?..." Jess asked.
"Ryan, tim, Monica , Karen." Tyler replied. Jess started thinking .
"Hey! There's a picnic table over there ! Why don't you guys come sit with us and chill?" Jess asked.
"Uh sure yeah I'll ask them." Tyler said.
**back to Alex ***
So as I started trying to find other food , some idiot accidentally bumped into me and knocked over my hot dog.
I looked at the shirt and it said Georgia.h.s . Then I saw his face.
"Oh shit! Sorry- oh hey ! "
"Hey thanks !" I replied.
"Never thought I'd see you again!"
"Guess what? You won't be!" I said then walked away. He ran after me.
"Hey! I can get you another hotdog !" He said. I turned around for 3 seconds then walked to him.
"It's okay, it was only like 2 dollars haha you don't have to worry Leo, just go about your business and get back to your friends .." I replied.
"No come on,alex I'm offering ." Leo said. I paused. Then walked with him.
"So what brings you here at the fair?" Leo asked.
"Umm well my friend just wanted to come, what About you ?" I asked.
"Well, lots of people from my school come here during this month because our principal has some hook ups.. You know he's pretty cool." Leo said.
"Uh huh... So can you tell me why you really wanted to pay 2 dollars to get me a hot dog..? Haha!" I asked. He laughed back.
"Yah know,I try to be nice ."Leo replied. So he got back to his friends.
**nextday***
So after school I had to wait for my mom to pick me up cause my car was getting repaired.
"Hey Brooks!" Someone said.
"Oh wow, didn't even recognize your voice!" I relied.
"What are you doing here ?" Tyler asked.
"Don't even worry, so what do you want?" I asked.
"What? I can't talk to you ?" He said.
I gave him an annoyed stare.
"Okay.. Well has anyone asked you to prom yet, why am I asking ? 20 people probably have but anyways I need help with mine." Tyler said. Haha help ? From me ? Yeah right,this kid has got to be kidding!
"Haha yeah ! No fucking way am I helping you!" I replied.
"No it's simple I just need help buying some stuff and if the guys find out my promposal idea they'd laugh!"Tyler replied. I felt kinda bad. So I agreed to help. So we bought a lighter and then we went over to his house around 7pm. And no we didn't buy a lighter to smoke or anything.
"Hey so ... Wanna come in the backyard?" Tyler asked. The fire was set and we had some s'mores. We started talking about random shit.
"Ha yeah! I could imagine you falling in the water!" I said.
"Yeah , well guess what, it's not as embarrassing as when Jaden slipped on the mud and got sat on by an old lady! Haha" Tyler replied.
"Alright so you said you need help with your promposal? ..." I said.
I started walking to this shed and I followed him in.
"So I was ... Planning to light up this fire work that spells out the words "PROM?". Tyler said.
"Oh wow, that's pretty cool so why do you need my help...? I asked.
"I need you to be the one who fires it..." He said.
"But why me though?" I asked.
"Because Jaden told me you used to fire fireworks on the Fourth of July.."
So we walked around the backyard. He had this nice little pond and I Fed some food to the fish.
"I like the backyard!" I said.
"Yeah I helped build it when I was little, so that's why that step near the tree is wobbly haha!" Tyler said.
"Haha , well that's pretty good for a 5 year old if you ask me!" I replied.So we sat back down.
"So.. Who yah askin to prom?" I asked.
"Umm... I'm actually unsure ... There was this one girl who I was gonna ask before but I think she probably doesn't Wanna go with me So I'm just gonna ask someone else.." Tyler said
"Aww why?" I asked. He shook his head.
"Ok well who are you gonna ask?" I said eagerly.
"I don't know probably Monica." Tyler replied .
" anyways who are you going with ?" Tyler asked. I ate my marshmallow.
"Umm well I turned down a bunch of people... So no one at the moment.." I replied.
"Did Jake ask you ?" Tyler asked.
"Umm no I think he told me that Rayna asked him." I replied. Then looked at my phone.
"Alight well it's getting late. I'll see you around!" I said then hugged him.
"Oh okay..." Tyler said. So I got home and I realized I forgot my Frikken jacket. It was one of my favourite jackets for the record. Prom was really really close and I still didn't have a date.
