Friends and exes

So lauren left an hour later. Apparently her and tyler were going to this nice restaurant. I was pretty bored at home. I sat outside while the sun was almost about to set. I relaxed listening to music and just thought stuff to myself. The vibes outside were perfect!
**everyones point of view except alex! Alex isn't seeing this conversation ***
Tyler and Lauren's date ended. Tyler went to Jadens house the next day. They watched tv and ate chips.
"Hey man how was ur day yesterday?" Jaden asked.
"Pretty good! I went on a date with lauren!"tyler responded . Jadens face was suprised.
"I'm not kept up with all this stuff! So you're over alex ? Lauren's really something!" Jaden said.
"Yeah I know. And umm yeah.. Me and Alex know we're better off as friends. I'll never make a mistake and fall for her ever cuz I know I only like her as a friend. Friends is where it's at. I only like her as a friend." Tyler said. Jaden laughed.
"Okay dude... " Jaden said. The two began to play pool.
"Wait so .. Lauren is Alex's really close friend right? Does Alex feel weird.." Jaden asked. Tyler laughed.
"Haha she doesn't care. She just hates when I come over when lauren is over." Tyler said. He checked his phone and left Jadens house.

So as I was laying down and heard my doorbell ring. I got up and went inside my house straight to the front door. It was Dylan.
"Hi." I said.
"Hey.. Umm I came to drop off your wallet I think that fell in my car the other day."Dylan said as he handed it over.
"oh shit now I can finally buy McDonald's. Again." I said. He laughed.
"are you going surfing right now?" I asked.
"Yeah I'm about to teach a lesson how'd you know." Dylan replied.
"I can see the suit under your shirt." I said. He laughed.
"Yeah well I better go now. Well I'll see yah around." Dylan said as he walked to his car. I went back inside my house. I made myself a snack. I went back in my backyard. I was laying on those beach chairs and thinking about life. I have so much money from helping produce and write movies I kinda don't know what I wanna do with my life. I guess all I can really do at the moment is anything I want. My mom came back home.
"Hey.. Mom oh by the way lauren is in town." I said.
"Oh wow! Well I'm really tired so I'm gonna sleep." She said. I checked the time.
"It's only 1pm..." I replied. I guess her trip was tiring. I went out for a walk with my neighbours dog named benji. As I was walking the dog back home,I heard tyler and lauren come back. I was around the corner. They were on the balcony laughing and cuddling. If I'm being honest there is a little part of me that still likes him but .. Things happen and I think Dylan is someone who is gonna be an interesting part in my life. I was walking to my neighbours house which is right next to tylers. Tyler and lauren saw me.
"Oh hey Alex!" Lauren said from the balcony. I acted like I had no clue where they were.
"Oh hi.. I didn't see you." I said.
"You on dog duty brooks?"tyler said.
".. Uh yeah I was.. and I gotta go return the dog. Enjoy your s'mores."I said. I went to the beach. Dylan was still teaching lessons. I sat on the sand waiting. As he got out the water running his hands through his hair it was hard to look away from that. He didn't even know I was here. I think he went to dry up and he got out. He saw me and sat beside me.
"Oh alex... Are you following me?" Dylan said. I pushed him.
"I always come to beaches. So chill haha!" I said.
"Oh really so you didn't come for me.. That's fine." Dylan said. We both laughed. We continued talking.
"Hey I have a question for you." Dylan asked.
"Oh great .." I said. He laughed.
"Haha no don't worry .. "DylAn said.
"Do you like me?" Dylan asked flat out. I didn't know what to say. I usually hate admitting stuff.. Especially telling someone I like them.
"... Hahah what?!?..." I said stalling.
"Haha! Do you like me ?" Dylan said again.
"No I don't ... You're .. Weird." I said. He laughed. Couple minutes later.
This girl walked to us.
"Hey.. Dylan thanks for the lesson today... And I was wondering if you had a girlfriend?" The girl asked. I looked away cause I didn't wanna be the one to make to make decisions.
"Uhh no I uhh don't .why?" Dylan said.
"I was wondering if you wanted to maybe go out for lunch or something at like 5pm or something.." She said. He looked at me.
"Uhh sure ." Dylan said. She left . There was a minute silence between me and Dylan.
"Hey Alex I didn't know what to say- I felt bad rejecting her and-" Dylan said.
"What do you mean... She seemed to really like you and she's really pretty .. Who would reject her right?.. Hope you have fun on the date." I said looking straight ahead at the ocean. I got up. He got up as well.
"Well I'll let you get ready for your date.. So I guess I'll talk to you umm some other day." I sAid as I walked away. He chased after me.
"Whoah wait!" He said as he grabbed my hand. I turned around.
"I can really tell you're not jealous..." Dylan said sarcastically smiling.
"What do you mean.." I said sighing.
"You're a little jealous.. Is it maybe cause you really like me?" Dylan said and laughed.
"no.. " I sAid.
"Haha Alex just tell me if you don't want me to go on the dinner date with Allison.. Cause I won't ." Dylan said.
"no.. Go on the date." I said then walked away. I got back home. I went to my backyard and Layed on the beach chairs. A ball landed in the backyard. I opened the gate. It was tyler.
"Oh hey yeah me and Tim and Lauren are playing catch .. Sorry." Tyler said.
"Yeah it's fine." I said. He looked at me.
"I don't usually ask you this but are you ok. You look stressed." Tyler said.
"Uhh yeah I'm fine.." I said.
"You sure.." Tyler asked.
"No I'm fine.. Thanks. now why don't you get back to tim and my friend that you're dating." I sAid. He hesitated.
"Umm... Alright ." Tyler said then left. As you can tell .. I'm going through some weird emotions. I'm just so annoyed that I don't even have the guts to tell someone I like them. That's some middle school type of problem ! I went back in my house. The door bell rang. It was Dylan.
"Hey.. What are you doing here? How was the date?" I asked.
"I'm gonna take her there in 30 min but she lives quite close to here so Hey can I hang out here for a couple of minutes." Dylan asked. I let him come inside. We sat in the backyard.
"So where are you planning to take her?" I asked.
"Umm .. I don't wanna tell you ." Dylan replied.
"Okay then .. " I said.
"Hey Alex ... I just wanna make sure what happened earlier today gets resolved. I understand .. You don't like me more than a friend so sorry for bothering you.." Dylan said smiling. I smiled back.
"What?" Dylan asked laughing. I laughed and looked away.
"Urghh!! You can stop now." I said. He laughed.
"What do you mean ?" He asked.
"Cause !!! It's pretty obvious that I do like you and you obviously know." I said. He smiled.
"Oh wow you do like me! Did not expect that!" Dylan said. We started talking. I was pretty happy.
"Hey .. Aren't you supposed to get to your date..." I said.
"Umm yeah well I actually told Allison I couldn't go on the date." Dylan said.
"Because...." I asked.
"Cause....." He said.
"Cause you have a gigantic crush on me?.. " I said laughing. He laughed back.
"Maybe .. I don't know." Dylan said smiling. We spent the whole day talking and fell asleep outside.
