I sat on my front porch. Just on my phone scrolling through Instagram. I started to hear a noise that sounded familiar. Then I saw Ashton holding his Board walking up the steps on my porch.
"Hey aren't you supposed to be out skateboarding around with Ryder.
"Yeah but he's really far behind and I have to wait so.., I don't know maybe we can just talk while I wait for him to hurry ?" Ashton asked. I nodded. I knew exactly where this was gonna go.
"So... How's it going ?" Ashton asked.
"...good.. So why are you here?" I asked. He laughed.
"Just to talk . Can't two humans have a conversation about anything?" Ashton said. I laughed lightly. He turned to the side and looked at me. We just started talking about Ryder's birthday and how it went.
"Yeah and thanks for that cake you got on my face and my friends shirt. " I said.
"There's still some in your hair." Ashton said. I didn't believe him till I felt my hair and could feel frosting.
"Don't worry, I'll get it out since I'm kinda responsible for that." Ashton said as he laughed . He sat closer as he was trying to take the frosting out my hair. Then he stared at me.
"What?" I asked.
"I remember .. The first time we met" Ashton said as he lightly laughed.
"I was on my skateboard and accidentally rammed into you." Ashton said.
"Then you got mad because I didn't say hi to you back." I said. He laughed.
"What? That's true !!" I said. He laughed and rolled his eyes.
"I remember that eye roll! You used to do that but I guess you like me better so you don't do it as much." I replied. We continued to talk about us meeting.
"Nah but I guess I gotta thank Ryder for being able to talk to you now." Ashton said.
"Haha, I'm finally glad you're opening up that you actually dont hate me." I said. He smiled. He continued to ramble on. I stared at him and forgot how amazingly attractive he is.
"Okay well I guess I gotta go." Ashton said as he checked the time. We both got up.
"Hey man..Ashton" Ryder said. .it seemed kinda like Ryder didn't know Ashton was gonna be here.
"Yeah man.." Ashton said.
"....Umm .. Are we gonna skate?" Ryder asked.
"Yeah ... " Ashton said. Then said bye to me and left. That was kinda .. Weird. The next day .
Ryder texted me to come over. I walked in the house. Ryder was just sitting on the couch. Then Ashton walked in the house after me.
"Hey man are we gonna - oh hey Alex." Ashton said.
"Yeah let's just watch a movie." Ryder said. There was something definitely off with Ryder. We were watching a movie. Ryder asked Ashton to come into the kitchen. I heard some arguing. They came back in the living room a little tensed out. Ryder turned the tv off.
"Alex... I just wanna get this out the way." Ryder said.
"This might be weird but ... I can't believe I'm asking this." Ryder said. I was kinda shocked and confused. I kinda felt like I knew what was coming at me.
"Who do you like, me or Ashton." Ryder asked.
"Ryder .. Man don't do this right now." Ashton said.
"This is really random.." I said.
"I mean.. It wouldn't make things weird if we knew... " Ashton said. I knew who I liked. But I didn't wanna hurt the other one. So I lied.
"Oh wow this might be really awkward but I like both of you as friends ... Not more than that.." I said.
"Oh shit then..." Ashton said.
"Oh I'm sorry we're sorry we asked you.." Ryder said.
"Okay well I think I'm gonna leave .." I said.
"Alex I really didn't mean to make things awkward .." Ryder said as he stopped me.
"It's Umm its fine... How bout we forget this happened." I said then got up to leave.
"Yeah sure... We actually don't like you ... We um thought you liked us so that's why we asked ..." Ryder said.
"Yeah..." Ashton said. I still left though. I guess they just wanted to know if I liked them because they didn't like me. Some weird stuff going on. To be completely honest I felt like something was up.
