So for the barbecue , Ryder told me only a few people were gonna be there. I asked Katie and Jaden if they wanted to come. They only agreed because they wanted food. Ryder Picked me up. We were gonna go shopping for some ingredients.
"Hey!" I said as I got in the car.
"Hey umm.. We're gonna have to pick up someone else..." Ryder said.
"Is it Ashton?" I asked. He nodded. I didn't really care cause I felt like Ashton doesn't totally hate me now. We picked Ashton up. We got to the grocery store. Me and Ryder kinda walked around to get what we needed at the grocery store while Ashton kinda went his own way. Ryder picked up hamburger buns and beef.i just picked up some Drinks.
"Where's Ashton ?" Ryder asked. Ashton walked to us.
"Oh .. You're gonna be making the hamburgers?" Ashton asked Ryder.
"Yeah dude... Unless you wanted to but you're probably gonna be making the salad." Ryder asked. Ashton laughed.
"I make really good salads .." Ashton said then sipped his Starbucks.
"Anyways lets go pay." Ryder said. We got to the car and put the food in the back. Ashton went in the car first. As I was getting in, I slipped and then Fell on Ashton and made his drink spill. He was probably gonna yell at me.
"I'm so sorry!" I said as I grabbed a paper towel and tried to clean the drink off his shirt all worried I was about to get spazzed at.
"Haha it's fine." Ashton said as he tried wiping the drink off himself.
"You sure?!" I asked. He smiled.
"Yeah don't worry , I didn't even want that drink anymore." Ashton said. I smiled back. I went to my seat and my seatbelt on. Ryder coughed.
"Umm everything alright?" He asked.
"Yeah man, just drive." Ashton said. The good thing was that.. Ashton didn't completely yell at me so that was good. I went on my phone.
"So... Ashton are you gonna be making your shitty salads for the bbq?" Ryder asked. I laughed.
"They're not shitty.. So Let me just say that." Ashton said to me laughing.
"I guess we'll have to see if they are." I said.
"I'll make you a custom secret recipe salad!" Ashton said to me. We arrived to Ryder's house. We prepared some food before people were gonna come. I walked past the kitchen and saw Ryder seasoning the hamburger meat. He looked pretty focused trying to get everything prepared. I walked in the kitchen.
"How's the marinating going?" I asked.
"Pretty good! Hey can you get me the salt from the dining room... Ashton is making his salad in there." Ryder said. I went to the dining room. It was a 20 second walk.
"Hey can I use the - oh so you were actually serious about making salad?" I asked. He looked up at me.
"Oh hey, and yeah very serious." Ashton replied as he tossed the salad. He added this weird ingredient in that I've never seen in my life.
"Okay here try." Ashton said.
"Haha no! " I said laughing backing away. He held a fork with some salad trying to make me eat it.
"Alex come on try it!" Ashton said laughing. When I spoke he shoved it into my mouth. I ate it.
"It actually tastes not to bad.." I replied. He smiled. Then Ryder came into the dining room.
"Oh right the salt!" I said then grabbed it and handed it to Ryder.
"Dude Ryder! she said the salad wasn't bad!" Ashton said.
"That's cool but maybe you should make more then! That girl Tina you like might want some when she comes over ." Ryder said. Ashton looked at Ryder.
"Yeah I don't even think I like her." Ashton said.
"But.. The other week it seems like you've been really exited about tina." Ryder said.
"I'm not really into her.What are you trying to do man?" Ashton asked Ryder. Things got a little weird.
"Nothing." Ryder replied. That was a little weird. I helped Ryder with shaping the burgers. He seemed in a better mood. Me and Ryder just sat in the backyard before people came.
"Wait till you taste the burgers! It's gonna Be much better than Ashton's salad." Ryder said.
"Haha! I'm kinda hoping." I replied. People came. We all ate and just hung out. Jaden went a little crazy and ate a lot.
"Hey Katie this is Ryder!" I said. They shook hands and said hi. The three of us kinda just talked. 10 minutes later I went to the kitchen to get some ice. I was trying to get the ice out of the tray and made accidentally made them all fall out of the tray. I heard someone laugh. Ashton walked in the kitchen.
"Need some help?" Ashton asked as he helped pick the ice off the ground.
"Thanks." I said. Me and Ashton talked for a bit.
"Yeah one time Calvin. Actually brought me up on stage!" I said.
"Really ? I Think I actually saw you at that concert on stage Haha!" Ashton said laughing. Ryder came in the kitchen.
"Hey Alex .. Katie was wondering where you were." Ryder said.
"Yeah I should get back to her." I said.
"..... Having fun Ashton?" Ryder asked. Ashton drank his lemonade and walked out the kitchen . There was this weird tension between them.
"Is everything alright between you and Ashton ?" I asked.
"I don't know. I'll eat some of his shitty salad to make him hate me less." Ryder said then left. An hour later everyone left. I helped with the cleanup. Ryder and Aston seemed fine with eachother. I went back home. 2 hours later, Ryder asked if I wanted to go to the movies with him and Ashton. I agreed.
