Friends in town

Next morning. I forgot that Jess wanted me to go to this fancy breakfast place. I got ready. Tyler knocked at my door.
"Got any extra toothbrushes ? Tim forgot his." Tyler said. I sighed.
"I don't know let me check .." I said as I looked in the washroom. He followed me.
"So... Where are you going? You look pretty gorgeous in that dress..." Tyler said. I gave him an annoyed look.
"Is that how you normally react to compliments ?" Tyler asked trying to annoy me smiling.
"Here." I said as I handed him the toothbrush. He took it then held my hand.
"You look really nice by the way." Tyler said. I took my hand away.
"Thanks ! I hope my date will like it!" I said. He paused.
"Your date?" He asked lightly laughing.
"Yeah ." I replied lying.
"Brooks come on... You're lying aren't you?" Tyler asked. I obviously lied.
"No....?" I said. He seemed kinda upset.
"So you're over me ? Just like that ?" Tyler asked.
"Dude... Brooks come on ... I really really like you and you know I was just  teasing you about those other girls ..." Tyler said. He actually looked like he was really hurt. Since he's been teasing me ! I'm gonna do the same and make him feel like shit.. Causehe did.
"I'm gonna go now... " I said. He got up.
"Have fun !" Tyler said sarcastically.
That was pretty funny. So I got to the restaurant place. Jess kept talking about how she wants a baby already but Bryce wanted to wait till they get in their late 20's or early 30's.
"I agree with Bryce. You still need to live life ." I said.
"I guess .. But I just want one so bad !" Jess said. I left the restaurant. I checked my phone and got a reminder . My friend from Chicago was coming over to visit me. I had to rush home because it was a little messy. My friend Lauren finally arrived.
"Hey!!!' It's been the longest since I've seen you !!" Lauren said hugging me.
"Haha !! I know !!!" I said. I showed her around the house. **lauren will look like Meredith foster***
"You can put your stuff up in the room on the left." I said to her. I made some nachos and we were just talking.
"So how long are you gonna stay ? Please say a year !!!" I said.
"Haha I wish. I can only stay over for a week and a bit because Christmas Is almost here and my parents want me to be there ." Lauren said.
"Hey I'm gonna go to the Bathroom." I said then went. The door bell rang. I opened it and it was Tim.
"Oh hey Tim ... What are you doing here little man?" I asked.
"Well.. Me and Tyler were just about to leave to watch suicide squad and wanted to know if you wanted to-" Tim said then got interrupted.
"Tim whatcha doing here ?" Tyler said as he walked up the steps. I was kind of annoyed. I never wanted to go with them because me and Tyler were kind of on bad terms.
"Isn't Tim too young to watch this movie ?" I asked.
"Yeah .. But Jadens brother works there and he's gonna let us! Pretty sweet huh?" Tyler said.
"Alex ! Who are you talking to?" Lauren asked from The other room.
"Look I don't wanna go." I said.
"Maybe she does ?" Tyler said pointing behind me. I turned around.
"Oh hi ....!" Lauren said.
"Hey . I'm Tyler" he said.
"Hey would you wanna watch suicide squad with us?" Tyler asked.
"Yeah sure. I've been wanting to for a while ..." Lauren said.
"Wait are you going Alex?" She asked.
"Umm no you go ..." I said.
"K guys just go to my car .. I'll be there." Tyler said to Lauren and Tim.
"What are you still doing here ?" I asked.
"Just gonna see if you might wanna change your mind and come." Tyler said.
"... Well I'm still don't wanna go." I said. He was staring.
"Why do you keep asking me to do stuff with you ? Im not .. Interested In you anymore . I said crossing my arms.
"Yeah .. You know what .. Sorry about that ..? I guess I'll stop asking ." Tyler said then left. I didn't completely mean that. There has to be a right way in order to"get back together " with him.
It was 8pm. The got back at the same time as I got to my car. As I walked out of the car.. He hugged her for like 5 seconds.
"Oh hey Alex ! The movie was actually pretty good !" Lauren said.
"That's good !" I said.
"Where you off to?" She asked me.
"Just gonna get some snacks." I said.
"Alright cool! I'm gonna go sleep! I'm super tired." Lauren said. She said bye to Tyler as well. He was smiling as he waved goodbye. I looked back at him.
He went to his car.
"Hey. I'm happy that she had a good time." I said.
"Me too." Tyler said then left. Usually he would continue talking to me and tease me and shit but he didn't. It was weird. I bought some snacks.
**next day***
I woke up early and made breakfast. Lauren came downstairs.
"Hey I made chocolate chip pancakes !! Your fav !!" I said then handed her a plate.
"Haha thank you !" She said. We sat at the table.
"So how was the date ?.. I mean movie ?" I asked.
"The movie was really good ! I really wished you came!" Lauren said. Haha yeah right ! The door rang. Great let me guess who it is?! I walked to the door and it was Tyler.
"Hey! You .. Don't seem to thrilled to see me..." Tyler said.
"... What?" I asked.
"Well actually I was wondering if I could talk to Lauren." Tyler said then stepped in the house. He walked over to her. I followed him.
"Hey Tyler." Lauren said smiling.
"Would you wanna go this new fair that opened up?" Tyler asked. I looked at Lauren and her cheeks were getting red.
"Yeah sure what time ?" Lauren asked.
"5pm ish ?" Tyler replied.
".. Wait.... I feel bad! Can Alex join along .." Lauren said.
"No .. It's okay I-" I said then got interrupted.
"I guess she can but she has to watch Tim ..." Tyler said. I rolled my eyes. It was 4pm. We were getting ready. The only reason I agreed to go was just cause I haven't been out that much.tyler arrived. We walked out the door. I was gonna take my own car.
"Alright you can sit in the front Lauren .." Tyler said. I walked to my car. He walked over.
"Wait I thought you're going?" Tyler asked.
"Yeah... Why can't I take my own ?" I asked.
"Yeah ... Go ahead ." He said then went in his car. So I got to the fair.
"Ouu I wanna go on that ride but it looks kinda scary!!" Lauren said. Tyler looked at me.
"I'll go on with you?" Tyler said. They left. Tim looked at me.
"You don't have to watch me Alex... My friends came so .. Don't tell tyler," Tim said then left. I walked around the fair. I was pretty bored and sat at the bench. Jaden walked over.
"Alex?" He asked.
"Oh hey ." I said.
"You know ... Since you're here ... Would you wanna help me?" Jaden asked. Great.. What am I gonna get myself into.
"See that girl over there ? .... She broke up with me and one day we talked and I said I had a girlfriend even tho I didn't .. Can you walk around with me and make me not seem like a liar ..?" Jaden asked.
".. You know what .. I'm not exactly sure if I should and ..." I said.
"Please Alex !!!" He said. I agreed. We were just walking around.
"So why are you here?" Jaden asked.
"Ummm I was kind of forced." I replied . He laughed.
"Oh shit!!! She's like there... Start laughing !" Jaden said.
"I can't believe I'm actually helping you." I said then started laughing.
"Great she's gone now !" Jaded. Said. We sat a the bench. I checked my phone.
"So yeah .. While Tyler is basically hanging out with my friend .. He made me watch his cousin and that's why I'm here." I said.
"Oh shit! But guess what .. The girl we made jealous texted me and wanted to talk ! So thanks Alex " he said then hugged me. He went to find her. 1 minute later.
Tyler came.
"Oh hey ... We're about to leave... Lauren's with Tim I'm the car.. I just came to find you." Tyler said.
"Oh great ." I said then got up. As we we're walking it was kind of weird.
"Hey Alex ...I hope you don't mind if I ask Lauren out for dinner tomorrow." Tyler said.
"I know what you're trying to do." I said then stopped.
"I'm not doing anything ..," he said.
"Ok whatever. Feel free to ask her for dinner." I said. I got to my car then left.
