New start ?

The house smelled good as well. He had Christmas cookies and other random shit. I sat on the couch.
"So... Should we watch home alone ?" Tyler asked.
"Yeah sure .." I replied.
**time later**
"I love this part where he pretends that movie is him talking !" Tyler said. I went to make myself some hot chocolate. I looked through his cabinets. The powder was so high up. I was trying to reach it. Then someone held me up by my waist and I got it.
"... How about a thank you ?"Tyler said. I went back to sit.I looked with my peripheral and noticed his arm over me but on the couch.
"Umm your arm .." I said.
"What? Oh .. I didn't even realiZe ..." Tyler said then moved his arm. We continued watching the movie.
".. Hey .. You never got me anything for Christmas did you?" Tyler asked.
"Well why would I get you something.. I hate you?" I asked.
"Don't lie to yourself. You still like me." Tyler said. I turned to the side facing him.
"Shut up.. But you never got me anything .." I said. He laughed.
"Yeah I did. " Tyler said.
"What ?" I said.
"That necklace you're wearing." Tyler said. He was obviously lying.
"Did you actually ?" I asked. He nodded.
"Oh ... Thanks .. Now I feel kinda bad I didn't buy you anything." I sAid.
"Really?" Tyler asked.
"Nope." I said laughing. He shook his head. We watched the movie. I kept laughing remembering how funny the film was. He was laughing too. I looked at him and kinda missed his face since I barley even talk to him. He caught me staring. He had a confused look on his face at me and continued watching the movie after. The movie was over. I got up. Tyler went to make himself a drink. I looked at his fireplace and there were some photos on there . One of them was of me and him. He walked over.
"Whatcha looking at?" He asked. I turned around.
"You uhh... Still have a photo you forgot to take down. One of you and me.." I sAid. He looked at it and smiled.
"Oh this... I'll make sure to take it down  just for you." Tyler said.
"Well this Christmas was kinda weird .." I said.
"Yeah .. It's pretty weird not having my mom here." Tyler said.
"But uhh.. Thanks for the company you gave." Tyler said. After just chatting I finally got up and put my shoes on at the front door.
"Alright bye." I said. We hugged but he was holding my hands. Of course me.. Who still likes him doesn't try to let go kinda making it seem like I really like him .
"Oh Yeah merry Christmas!" Tyler said. He was kinda pulling me closer to him almost kissing me then I drew back and stopped myself.
"What..?" Tyler asked.
"I can't kiss someone who thinks its ok to kiss my friend in front of me." I said as I took my hands out of his hands.
"Hey... You told me you didn't like me so.... " Tyler said. Ok.. That point was kinda reasonable.
"I said that but I didn't actually mean it. You were annoying me for a reason because you knew I still liked you but you wanted to piss me off by going out with my friend!" I said. He laughed.
"What about you and Reece? You tried to make me jealous I could tell." Tyler said.
"What do you mean... All he did was change my tires ." I replied.
"Yeah but I've seen you change your own tires before .. So you asked him to help you to make ME jealous !" Tyler said. In my head I was like oh shit you're right!
"Yeah but you've actually hooked up with the people." I said.
"Ok true.." Tyler said laughing without any guilt.
"You know what? You can Kiss and date anyone you want.. But just not me." I said.
"Oh Kay great. You know what?..,Maybe I've been chasing the wrong girl for way too long ." Tyler said. I looked at him.
"Yeah ... Maybe..." I said.
"So what now?" I asked.
"I don't know .. How about we do whatever we want with other people and actually and only be friends and not force ourselves to be with each other .. I guess that's the only way things will be good." Tyler said.
"Alright..  ." I said then left. I was kinda surprised by what he had to say.
** 4weeks later***
My mom went on another trip so it was like I was living by myself. I hadn't spoken to anyone except Jess and jake all month. I was busy at home writing scripts for these producers. Jess was throwing a huge party at her house. It was pretty random. There were lots of people. I played some beer pong with jake and kourtney. I spoke To Kourt and jake.
"this parties getting a little big... Let's go outside and chill by the fire!" Kourt suggested.
"Oh hey! I left my jacket upstairs in jesses room ! I'll meet you out!" I said. I went upstairs. Jess has a bench in her hallway upstairs. Tyler and This girl were talking. He glanced at me as I walked out the room. I paused then went downstairs. After Jake , Kourt and I were done talking we went back inside. I bumped into Someone as I was jogging up the stairs.
"Oh sorry !" I said.
"It's cool." Someone said.I looked down the stairs realizing it was Tyler. I went back downstairs.
After Kourt and jake and I finished talking, they left. I stayed outside for a couple of minutes just listening to music. Someone opened the door.
"Hey.. Is it alright if I just take a call out here?" Some guy asked.
"Uhh yeah go ahead." I replied. He was on the phone. I got up to leave. As I got up and turned around he looked at me.
"Oh , hey!" He said.
"Hi.. I'm actually leaving right now so you can take your call." I said. He hung up the phone.
"No it's fine.. You can stay. Oh by the way I'm Dylan." Dylan said.
".. Umm i suggest you get back to that call?" I said. He laughed.
"What?" He asked.
"I heard you talking about donating blood?" I said.
"Hey, I mean.. I'd still like to enjoy my blood as much as I can." Dylan said smiling. I smiled back then went back inside. (By the way.. Dylan will look like Neels visser) . I went to my car. Tyler was walking back from around the corner . He walked over to me.
"Alex I think this whole friend thing is working out well! It's so much better dating someone else! Well you wouldn't know but ! I'm glad we're friends!" Tyler said.
"K great.... I'm gonna leave now.." I said trying to find my keys. At the same time I heard some footsteps as I was at my car.
"Hey! I didn't get your name !" Dylan said. I turned around.
"Oh .. It's Alex." I said. He smiled.
"Ok ... Well Alex is it?I think you seem pretty nice and funny so.. Maybe I could get your number ?" Dylan asked. I hesitated.
"Ummm.........." I said.
"Haha ... You don't have a boyfriend do you? He's not your boyfriend is he?" Dylan said pointing at Tyler.
"Umm Nah dude ..." Tyler said.
"Oh no! He's not even close to being my boyfriend. But Yeah sure give me your phone and I'll write it in." I said.
"Alright .. Well I'm glad I met you tonight." Dylan said smiling as he walked back to the house. I went back home .
