Divorce

So I got to court. We got inside. Judge did what she had to do. And apparently we have to come back next week. We got papers to fill out and get done before the week. Me and Tyler both left the court. Didn't say anything to each other. I got in my car and drove to the house to pick up some of the left over stuff I had. I guess Tyler was getting stuff too cuz I saw his car at the driveway. As soon as I walked in I saw him.
"I'm just getting the rest of my stuff .." Tyler said.

"So am I." I said and went straight upstairs. I was looking through some of my clothes . There was this jacket Tyler got me. I went downstairs.
"Hey ... Umm I found this jacket that-" I said then saw him looking at a picture. He put it down as he saw me.

"Huh? ..." Tyler said.

"...I said I found this jacket and I'm pretty sure you got me this ... You should probably take it back." I said.

"... Oh no it's fine ... You keep it.. I mean I did get it for you before." Tyler said. I walked closer to him to see what he put down . I picked up the photo.

".. Yeah I was cleaning and I saw that picture ." Tyler said. It was a picture of me and Tyler. It was actually a cute picture of us ... My memories were coming back and I kinda put it down just to forget it all.

"Alright well I think I have all my stuff." I said.

"Yeah all my shit is in my car ... I just have to bring this box." Tyler said.

I was carrying my boxes from upstairs down .

"Whoah.. Someone thinks they're Popeyes all of a sudden stacking 3 boxes at once." Tyler said to me.

"... Haha Seriously ?.." I said. He opened the door.

I put the boxes in my car.

Tyler was just putting his boxes in his car. Ugh I was having these thoughts like ... I can't believe we're actually divorcing. I felt like we've been through so much weird shit and I didn't know if this idea was good. Just a little thought I was having. He turned around.

"... You alright ?.." Tyler asked.

"Yeah .. Why wouldn't I be ." I asked. He laughed.

"Uhh I don't know . Maybe because you look a little down." Tyler said and walked closer .

"What's up? What's wrong?" Tyler asked.

"Nothing ..." I said.

"Nah ... I know youuuu. What's going on  " Tyler said as he pushed my shoulder lightly .

" nothing ." I said as I looked away.

"... Okay . Umm I'm about to head out. Guess I'll see you in a couple days for the umm court thing." Tyler said.

"Yeah... I'll make sure to fill out the papers so I can for sure divorce you." I said.

"There's the petty Alex I know .." Tyler said but was kind of joking around.

"Alright I guess I'll leave now too" I said . We kinda didn't know how to say bye . I put my hand out to shake his . He put his arm out to hug but we awkwardly backed out and just said bye. I left and went to bed.
