Messy problems

I thought about what tyler said to me. After one month.. I finally saw him agin. I was walking during the night and he was at a supply store. He was at his trunk putting stuff in there. I walked over to him.
"Hey.." I said. He turned around.
"Look.. Shits pretty awkward between us.. I don't know if us talking is a good thing-" Tyler said.
"It's kind of important.." I said.
"Alright.. Shoot Brooks.." He said.
"Well.. I haven't been... Totally honest as you were .. " I said nervously.
"Yeah.. I don't mean to rush you but I have to go right now ?" He said kinda pissed and got in his car. I couldn't say it. He was just about to drive off until he heard me say"I like you !". He stopped the car and walked out.
"What?" Tyler asked.
"I've honestly liked you well.. Maybe not the very first day I met you .. Haha.. But for a long time I really liked you .. Aww shit I sound so fucking cheesy " I said. He laughed. I hate being all .... Corny and sweet and ...
It's just weird.
"Oh wow ...." He said.
"Well ...,"
"What about your boyfriend Leo ?am I just your rebound or somethin?" He asked.
"Me and and Leo were close but.. Only because you were dating Monica and ... I never was his girlfriend because i didn't even know if I really liked him.." I said. He didn't say anything. He kept flattening these boxes.
"Alright... You like me.. So what? What did you want out of this ?" He asked.
"I.... I don't know tyler ! You seemed so freaking hurt that I said I didn't like you back but now you know and ... I don't know maybe we can start from somewhere ..-" I said then got interrupted.
"Alex ... The reason why I told you how I felt about you was to see if you felt the same. I had two choices to go for college. One was here in New York and the other ... Was in Utah and .... Since you never told me you liked me .. I decided to go to Utah...." Tyler said then looked away.
"Oh shit... Umm.. Can't you maybe switch back and just go to the one here-"
"I can't ... I already made my choice ... You should of made yours up earlier to tell me ..." Tyler said. I was quite offended.he kept putting boxes into his trunk. I just .. Stood watching him put those stupid boxes in his trunk. Once he put the last one in he just turned around and looked at me.. Got in his car then drove away. I walked back home.
"Hey... Where have you been?" My mom asked.
"Just went for a walk .. Anyways I'm gonna go sleep.." I said.
"Oh hey, so Tyler's mom told me he got accepted into a college in Utah and is gonna be living there for a some time, I think he's moving during the middle of August ." My mom said.
"Oh yeah I heard.." I said then went upstairs.
**next day**
After that ... Terrible conversation with tyler last night .. All I did was try to forget about him. Didn't even text him. Or see him. I was obviously gonna keep it to myself. It'd be pretty awkward if they did know anything. So today my friend jaden was throwing a party but I seriously didn't wanna go. It was like a goodbye party for tyler since he's gonna be leaving the city. Lots of people were gonna be there I think so it probably didn't matter if I went or not. I saw a bunch of pictures on Instagram.

"Hey man! How you liking the party?" Jaden asked.
"It's great! Hey have you seen alex?" Tyler asked.
"Umm I invited her.. Not sure if she came though anyways I'm gonna go play some beer pong .." Jaden replied.
"Alright .. Do you .."

"Hey.. So any plans tonight? Gonna hang out with friends?" My mom asked.
"Umm probably not.. I'm really tired and lazy to go anywhere.." I replied.
"Alright .. I'm gonna shower now." My mom said. I just watched tv but then my phone kept blowing up with my friends asking where I was. Why would I want to go to a party dedicated to the guy who barley gives a shit about what I say to him? I felt kinda bad not going but I felt like i had a good excuse not to go. I made myself some yummy food. Jaden was texting me asking if I could get him some medicine cause he was feeling sick. It was 1am so I thought most people were gone. As I got there most people left.
"Hey.. You said you needed medicine ..?" I said.
"Oh thanks ! I think I ate something bad that someone brought." Jaden. Replied.
I walked out the house to my car. Then saw tyler.
"Hey..." He said.
"Hi." I said then opened my car door.
"Hey so were you at the party?" He said then walked closer to me.
"Look what do you want?" I asked.
"Hey I'm leaving like tomorrow afternoon , I wanted to at least say bye to you." Tyler said. I stood there.
"Hey... I'm sorry." He said.
"I don't wanna hear anything .." I replied.
"Alright well I guess I'll be leaving .." Tyler said then went in for a hug.
"Don't even..." I said then backed away and drove back home. You shouldn't just be alright with liking someone then have them be gone for a year you know!? That's why people shouldn't be soft. This isn't the way I hoped for things to happen but ... I guess things happen. The next day all my friends were gonna drop tyler off at the airport to say bye. I decided not to go tomorrow only because of the shit that happened between me and him. I had thoughts though and felt like a jerk. But I didn't give a shit!

So Jaden, Jake, Katie, and jess drove over to tylers. Tyler walked in the car.
"Hey!" Tyler said. During the car ride they spoke.
"Tyler I'm gonna miss you! But you're coming back right ?..jess asked.
"Haha yeah jess!" Tyler responded.
"Hey guys thanks for driving me to the airport !" Tyler said.
"Well we all wanted to be there to say goodbye." Jake said.
"So alex didn't come ..?" Tyler asked.
"She told me she had an appointment and couldn't switch it.." Jess said.
So they got to the airport and said their goodbyes.

I saw pictures on Instagram of my friends posting pics saying "gonna miss you " or "have a good time in Utah". So me and jess hung out today later.
"Even though it's been like 4 hours .. I miss tyler already!" Jess said.
"Yeah.. So what's up!" I said.
"Well I'm going on a date with Bryce and .. I need help picking my outfit and doing my hair." Jess said. So I helped her do all the stuff she wanted me too. So later that night I saw a sign by a restaurant saying they need some new employees. I decided to go next morning to apply. It was a super fancy restaurant so I had to make sure I looked pretty professional for it. The place looked like a five star one.
"Hi, I was wondering if I could apply here as a part time worker!" I said.
"Yes we're actually really desperate!!" The manager said.
"If you can cook pasta, fries, or even fish you are officially hired !" She said.
"Yeah .. I can!" I said .
"You start tomorrow! Come in at 11 am for our meeting!" She said. Well that was easy.
