Chapter 6-Discovering Enemies

So the dance was literally so close. I had a weird feeling going to the dance with those random dudes that asked me because I don't even think I knew their names. No one asked Jessica. Katie or Ashley so I dont know .. Maybe we could all just go together. Until Mike, Tyler and Jake came.

"Have you losers found dates yet?" Giggled Ashley

"Actually I think we might have ...."

"Ashley, Katie ... Will you both go to the dance with me?"

"Sure Mike " they both replied. Then Jake asked me and why not say yes!? Jakes pretty cool so I think the dance is gonna be fun going with him.

"Did you think i was gonna leave u hanging?" Asked Tyler

"Sure I'll go with you !!!!!" Replied Jessica . So as I got home I guess my mom did some snooping and found out I was going to the dance with Jake. I guess she thought he was my boyfriend or something cause it was obvious.

"Mom he's my lab partner .... Nothing more than that and trust me I don't have a boyfriend!" I said.

"Okayyyyy Ms. Quick to defend herself , well do your homework cause I'm gonna make dinner!" My mom replied.

So after 30 minutes of homework I went on tumblr looking at dance dresses. And honestly... I don't even know why I care so much about It. I mean it's just a dance, it's not like it's prom or anything. Later that night my friends and I were texting about It.

"Why are we stressing about this dance I mean it's only a dance...!" I texted.

"Alex it's a semi formal ... People just call it a dance sometimes and semis are pretty important." Replied Katie.

"Hey I gotta go but at 1pm tomorrow I'll pick you guys up and we can go dress shopping?" Texted Ashley . And we were all in . I've never really went shopping with friends. Well I guess I sorta never really had friends...

***next day ***

So I went outside to the mail post to get my mail and that loser Tyler was there.

"Oh so you actually do live near me..."

"What are you doing here Tyler ....?" I asked .

"Getting my mail ... You do remember that I live near here right?" Tyler asked.

"Oh yeah ... Sorry I guess I forgot cause I was drunk ..." I replied.

"What are you still doing here....?" I said .

" Umm haha just about to leave ..... So do you even Uhh like .... Jake ?..." Tyler asked .

"Uh why?...." I questioned.

"Well it's cause you said yes when he asked you to semi .." Tyler responded.

"He's my lab partner, were good friends and he's probably the only guy I trust to be honest and I'd trust you least " I said.

"Well to be honest you'd be the last person I'd ask ;)" Tyler said. What a jerk ,...

" haha well I'm gonna go but you know I'm playing ... You definitely wouldn't be the last person id ask .... Maybe the second last " Tyler said.

" shut up haha !" I said hitting my mail at him. Then Jessicas car parked up . And she got out.

" what are you two doing together?" Asked Jessica .

" hey Jess :) oh I was literally about to leave but I was getting mail .. Why ? " asked Tyler . She hesitated.

"Haha this is so stupid never mind :) well Umm I guess I'll see you later loser ! "Said Jessica. If I didn't know better.. Id say Jessica was a little mad. But honestly I wouldnt know why cause we just got mail and that's pretty silly for someone to be mad but she got over it. I've never had such a peaceful drive with the music up and the wind going through my hair with the sun out. A nice drive can totally make my day .

"So what dress are you guys planning to buy ? " I asked.

"I don't know... Something light pink but not to extravaganza that's for sure !" Replied Jessica.

"Alex I think any colour would look good on you, you're gorgeous:)!" She said while giving me a warm smile.

"Thank you but you losers are all literally perfect :) aha!" I said.

"Ughh there's Sarah!" Katie said as we drove past her house.

"What who's she?" I asked.

"She's in my english class and she's like I guess the most popular person in our school." Replied Ashley .

"She's also really rude . Her and I used to be friends until a guy came between us but It doesn't matter cause she was a terrible person anyways!" Replied Jessica as she took her sunglasses off. So we got to the mall. Jess ash and Katie went to a store and I had to use the restroom. On my way there I saw a guy I knew before. Why the heck was he here in New York. He was actually my ex and he was my ex becuase me being me ... I have trouble committing and being in one is hard for me just Cause .

So i got home and set my dress carefuly in my closet. Oh yeah I got a blue dress that was simple and went above my knees. It's really nice. I went over to Jessicas house cause her and I were gonna chill and bond.

"Hey want me to do your nails?" I asked. She said yes . We had a great conversation. After I did her nails her and I bonded so quickly. It was like I've known her my whole life . I know I know !!! It's chessy but it was true!

"Hey so do you think Tyler likes me ?" Jessica asked me.

" Umm i dont know .. I never observed... Why? do you like him ?" I asked.She smirked .

"Does he know ?"

"I don't know .. I feel like its a mutual thing !" She replied .

"Hey Umm you don't like him do you ?" Jessica asked .

"Um Gross!!!! I mean no I don't !" I replied . Like Tyler's honestly lame! Why would she even ask me .

" haha ok good !!! Well I really like him but I wanna make it seem like I'm all chill around him . We've been friends forever and I guess he's just nervous to be my boyfriend Cuz well he asked me to semi formal so that means he likes me ." Jessica said. I'd honestly never try to get between it cause ... Eww I don't even like Tyler and 2 ... She seems to really actually like him and Jess deserves what she wants.

"Hey before you leave, Mathew Michaelson is having a party tomorrow at 9 pm , i don't know some bonfire crap and i hope you can make it !" Jessica said smiling ! I mean .. Bonfires seem cool.

"Yeah I'll try" I said.
