Not moving on to him

The next day all my friends were gonna visit Jess in the hospital after finding out she had a miscarriage. It's something I never thought would ever happen. We all thought we should space out the times and not all go at the same time and overwhelm her. So .. Me and Ryder were still friends so I thought it was okay if I went over. We were sitting In the backyard catching up on the show 13 reasons why. I only watched episodes 1-7. Been kinda busy.
"Haha yeah me and my girlfriend binge watched it once it came out and I won't spoil anything but hey I'm gonna take this phone call inside." Ryder said. He went back inside. I sat on the chair just staring at the sky. I heard the door open. I thought it was Ryder but I kept forgetting ashton was living with Ryder because his house was getting renovated. Ashton and Ashlynn both were in their swimming outfits and jumped into the pool. They went into the hot tub part of the pool and were being all lovey dovey. I tried looking away. She was hugging him and splashing water. I got up and went back in the house. Ryder was still on the phone. A minute later ashton walked back in the house. I got up to walk to the living room area. I bumped into ashton.
"Watch where you're going next time?" I said.
"You bumped into me though.." Ashton said. Technically true but i have a reason to be mean.. I think .
Luke walked in the house and walked to us.
"Hey Alex!" Luke said as He hugged me. 
"Umm Luke man I think Ryder wants to speak to you." Ashton said. Luke left.
Ashton looked at me.
"What?" I said as I crossed my arms.
"That was .. Cute ... You and Luke would be cute as a couple." Ashton said as he smiled and turned to walk away.
"Wait ...... Hold up .. " I said.
"What?." Ashton asked as he smiled.i sighed.
" that was cute?" I asked. Really confused.
"Yeah just keep hugging Luke in front of me. It's really cute." Ashton said as he ate a grape.  I raised my eyebrow. He left and went outside to the backyard. I left the house. I bumped into someone. I didn't even notice.
"I'm so sorry." This guy said. I turned around.
"It's fine -" I said then looked at him. He smiled. He was pretty cute not gonna lie.
"You just walked out of Ryder's house, are you guys friends?" The guy asked.
"Yeah we're friends." I replied.
"I'm Jax.." He said as he put his hand out.
"I'm Alex ." I replied. Then the door opened.
"Yo man .... !" Ashton said to Jax. We both looked at ashton.
"See you around." Jax said. Jax went inside. I walked to my car. I could kinda hear someone walking behind me. Then someone turned me around.
"What the-"I said as I turned around.it was ashton. I waited for him to speak.
"What?" I asked.
"So .. First you move on to my friend Luke now my other friend Jax?!" Ashton asked.
"What do you mean ? I like Luke as a friend so does he." I replied. I was gonna open my car door and go in but he stopped me.
"Yeah but I could see the smile on Jax's face when you two were talking.. You were obviously flirting." Ashton said. I laughed.
"All I said was  my name... If anything he was the one who spoke first." I said.
I crossed my arms.
"Why are you .... So curious anyways?" I asked.
"Cause they're my friends ...." Ashton said.
"And.......?" I asked.
"And... I don't want you jumping from me to my friends ... They don't go for girls I've been with." Ashton said. I laughed.
"You and I were never a thing... Wait..Sound familiar?" I said. Ashton sighed and didn't respond to that.
"Just have fun with your girlfriend." I said.
"Alex wait a second." Ashton said. I just thought about the guys I've ever been with. Then bursted Out a rant.
