So I got to the area where I guess the employees just chill , before work actually starts. A lot of the workers were girls suprisingly. I greeted a lot of them, they were new too.
"Alright! So today ! I'm going to assign you your position!"she yelled.
I was in waitress duty which fuckin sucks! Along with this other girl named Violet. She was the same age as me.**violet will look like Bella thorne**
So anyways I had to wear the white button up with my hair tied back .i looked kinda weird. Anyways so the other employees were older than us. I didn't really talk to her because she seemed to kind of distant herself from me. She kind of seemed like a bitch anyways so I didn't care. The first day was pretty easy. The customers today weren't that rude so it made things flow well. We all had to report back in the kitchen .
"Alright! Great job everyone! Leave now .." She said. So I got back home..chilled and watched some tv. I went over to Jess's house.
"How was your date?" I asked.
"Haha I've never had a better time ! How's work?" She asked.
"...litte tiring..!I said. So I had to Leave early to watch my show that I missed. I was becoming kind of down ever since tyler left but I wasn't gonna let that turn me depressed over some guy.i tried getting over him not giving a shit. So I got to work early the next day. My manager told us all to help chop vegetables. We all had a station to work at.
"Oh yes I forgot ! I hired you the other day... You can start by chopping those carrots by violet." I could hear my manager saying. I honestly wasn't paying attention to anything! Or anyone! I was tryna finish chopping the stuff.Man we were chopping and chopping. So today my manager apparently had to leave before the restaurant even opened today! She left one of the nice girls in charge. So I got to be on cooking duty. We had a slow day because barley anyone came cause it was a holiday for most people. I finished cutting up some potatoes and so Anne made me go cut up more! Yay!
So I walked over to violet and the other guy she was with's station because they had so much.
"Hey can I borrow some of your guys's potatoes to cut?" I asked.
"Actually were fine ..." Violet said. The guy turned around.
"Here you can have some of mine- oh hey..." He said.
"Hey.. So..?" I replied.
"Yeah here.... By the way I'm Luke." He said.
"I'm alex.." I said .
"And im violet! Great we all now eachother !" Violet said obnoxiously.
"Yeah ... I think we all know .." I said laughing. Luke started laughing.
"Umm... Thanks" I said to luke smiling then went back to my station.***(luke will look like jack harries**)
So if you were wondering what happened to Leo... I'm about to tell yall.  We never really were boyfriend and girlfriend but we obviously did like eachother. But then I realized I liked someone else. So I just asked to stay remaining friends with Leo and not go any higher than that. We don't really talk anymore though. This whole year I'm probably gonna try not to get into anything. There were a couple of weeks left for summer. Me and Jess were going to the same college but I really didn't wanna think about all that! So i got back home. My mom was sleeping. I had a relaxing day. Just decided to wind down.. And watch YouTube videos. So I got to work. As I walked in the employee room where we just wait for our boss the get there.Violet gave me this look. Didn't look too friendly. Once luke walked in, she approached him right away. I think she likes him by the way she acts.So today me , Violet and luke were taking orders. Today was another slow day! I just sat at one of the tables.
"Hey." Luke said.
"Hey, can I sit here too? I'm getting tired of standing around waiting for no one." He asked.
"I mean, there's like 20 other tables but sure .." I said.
"Haha no , the air conditioning is closer here!" He said laughing.
"Haha ok, well I think I'm gonna help throw out the compost.." I said .
"Come on stay .?" He asked as I got up midway.
"Okay sure.." I replied . We just started talking about random stuff. He's super nice.
"Umm Angela told me I can go on break but one of you has to help Clean up the kitchen since it's almost 6!" Violet said.
"Oh , I guess I'll clean then.." I said.
"Nah, alex , I'll clean it.. " luke said.
"Umm it's okay luke, she said she wanted to do it, come on let's stay near the cold air !!!!" Violet said.
"I think I'll just help her clean instead.." Luke said to violet. So we had to clean and all the employees left earlier. But violet stayed to help cause we all know why. Right when we finished we clocked out.
Violet stopped me.
"So..do you like luke?.." She asked.
"What? No. I don't even know him that well.. " I replied laughing then left. Tried forgetting about tyler but.. It's not that easy to forget someone who pissed you off but was also a good part in your life. I got back home. I tried it to go on my phone so I could just relax. I kept getting messages from tyler but I ignored them because he never answered any of mine untill 2 weeks later. I just found myself .. Becoming more and more and more different emotionally wise. I would tell myself "hey ! Be happy" all the time and remember to care about me ! Cause bitch I'm fantastic!
***next day**
So as you guessed it, I'm at work. Working like a pig. Luke walked over to me.
"Hey, you okay? Seems like something's bothering you.." Luke said.
"What? No.. I'm fine..." I said.
"Hey, I know I'm a guy but I don't know, I guess we're friends ? Come with me." Luke said. So we went to sit outside by the fountain .
"I know that look... It's the face of stress and confusion.." Luke said. I looked at him.
"Spot on kid..." I replied.
"Just let go of anything bothering you ... Open your eyes to the good things in life.." He said smiling.
"I'll try... " I said.
"Once you block out the bad stuff.. You'll have a whole different perspective in life seeing only the good." He said.
"Haha, thanks for the therapy session !" I said laughing. We sat in silence just looking down for 3 minutes.
"You must of gone through .. Something haven't you ?.." I said. He didn't say anything for 20 seconds.
"Yeah... But now that .. The negative stuff is out.. I'm much more happier with life.." He said.
"Come on get up!" He said.
"Well.. Thanks for the advice .. Didn't expect this from you." I said.me and luke started talking more at work.
**violet pov with luke***
"Hey luke! Thanks for carrying those bins for Me!" Violet said.
"Yeah no problem.." Luke replied.
"Hey .. So are you... Friends with alex?" She asked.
" I mean.. She's really cool." Luke said.
"Well I heard she doesn't like you!"violet said.
"Really?.." He asked then left.
