The Ordinary Girl

Camping

So today we were all supposed to go fishing. Me and Ashton didn't exactly know where to go because we were far from Ryder and them.
"I don't think it'll be that hard to find fish.. So let's try finding some." Ashton suggested. We brought the fishing poles. It was so much nicer in the day. We walked and found this river lake area. I was waiting for some fish to pull on to my hook. I was just waiting there. Ashton was waiting too. A couple minutes later a fish started tugging on it.
"Ohh shit!!" Ashton said. I was watching him trying to reel it in. He slipped and fell on the ground. I laughed.
"That fish was HEAVY!" Ashton said as he laughed. He caught one right after that though.
"Oh shit!! I think the heavy fish you were gonna catch is on my hook." I said to Ashton as I was reeling it in. I was struggling. He went behind me and helped pull it in. We were pulling so hard. Just imagine how big this fish was gonna be. We finally reeled in !!
"Haha oh my gosh We did it!!" I said laughing as I jumped and hugged Ashton.
"Haha I told you that fish was heavy!" Ashton. Said laughing. Then we heard a voice.
"Ashton?" Ryder asked as he walked closer.
"Oh hey !" Ashton's replied.
"Hey." I said.
"You guys were fishing together ...?" Ryder asked.
"Yeah apparently you guys made her find a new campground." Ashton said.
"We didn't make her. there was no more room and I personally wanted her to stay and make Ricky go camp another place..." Ryder said kinda intense to Ashton. Ashton didn't say anything.
"Ryder it's fine.. There was no more room back where you guys are and  I'm fine at the campground I'm at." I replied.
"And dude how's Karen ?" Ashton asked Ryder. Ryder gave him an annoyed look.
"She's good but she's not my girlfriend." Ryder said.
"That wasn't the question...." Ashton replied.
"Anyways so we're gonna start putting the fish on the grill and some hot dogs.. It's just south over other ." Ryder said as he pointed.
"Yeah man.." Ashton said.
"By the way Alex , I can get Ricky to move his tent and you can tent near the rest of us if you want." Ryder suggested.
"Uhh I think it's fine... Wouldn't want Ricky to hate me." I replied.
"Wanna go fishing near us? There's more fish!" Ryder said. I looked at ashton, he was fishing.
"Umm I'm good.." I replied. Ryder looked a little upset then left. I walked over to Ashton.
"Hey Alex.... I think you should go fishing with Ryder." Ashton said.
"Why?" I asked confused.
"I don't know he just seemed a little upset that you didn't go fishing with him. And he invited you and didn't really get to speak to you." Ashton said. I thought about it. I tried to follow Ryder. He was a little far. I caught up.
"Hey." I said.
"Oh wow... You followed me here ? I thought you wanted to stay and fish back there with Ashton?" Ryder asked.
"Well I barley even spoke to you on the trip you invited me on." I replied. He walked me to the place the rest of them were fishing.
"Hey I'm gonna go cook some of the food on the fire, I'll be back." Ryder said. I grabbed a fishing pole and found a spot. Ashton came by to fish here too.We also went canoeing. Ryder asked me to go in one with him.
***mav and Ashton point of view**
Mav and Ashton were sitting on logs across the water looking at some of them canoeing.
"I'm so confused on who Ryder likes.Is it Karen or that Alex girl." Mav said to Ashton.
"Me too, he brings Karen on this trip yet he asked Alex to canoe with him." Ashton replied.
"She's really pretty." Mav said talking about Alex
"Yeah whatever." Ashton said.
"Haha okay then ..?" Mav asked.
"No.. Cause she's out there with Ryder. I don't wanna go after girls that don't like me.Plus I was an ass when I first met her so she kinda hates me. And I think I like her as a friend."Ashton said. Mav and Ashton stared out the distance.
"Okay man...." Mav replied.
"I'm gonna go check up on the food." Mav said.
***back to Alex's point of view of what shes experiencing*** I got off the canoe and went to the campground. I saw Mav and Ashton talking.
"Hey guys." I said.
"Oh hey Alex..." Mav said.
"Yeah hey." Ashton replied.
"Hey Ashton I was wondering if you wanted to go canoeing with me. It's really fun." I asked Ashton.
"Uh I think I'll pass .. Zoey already asked me." Ashton said. Mav gave him a confused look.
".... Oh.." I replied.
"Umm Ashton ... I don't think you realize that--" Mav said then Ashton didn't let him finish.
"See you guys later, ZOEYS Over there." Ashton said then left.
"That was weird..." I said. I went to eat a hot dog.
