Imagine. "So for her dinner tonight I prepared a meal. It's in the fridge and for tomorrow morning, it's just a bottle with chocolate...oh and don't forget to put her stuffed animal on her bed tonight. She likes to cuddle it. It's the unicorn with the rainbow on it, you probably already have seen it. She carries it everywhere" you ramble. "Darling, they will be okay" Darren reassure you. He was standing against a wall, his coat on, waiting for you. "Yeah don't worry! Everything's gonna be great!" Chuck adds. You nod. It was the first time you and Darren went out since Sami was born. Chuck and his wife Lucy insisted that you two took some couple time. And everything seemed great when you planned it: a movie, dinner outside and a hotel room for the whole night, just you and Darren. Chuck and Lucy proposed to babysit and you and Darren accepted. That was the first time you left Sami and there was no way you would have left her with some stranger who claims to babysit. You took your 8 month old daughter from her baby bouncer and held her tightly against you. "You're gonna stay with uncle Chuck and auntie Lucy tonight, alright baby?" you say before kissing her tiny forehead. "Everything is gonna be alright" you say to her as you put your cheek against her curls. "Yeah! Everything's gonna be good!" Chuck said as he comes closer to you, his arms ready to catch Sami. You didn't move. You couldn't leave her like that. She was so small! "Give her to me?" Chuck said with a smile. "Yep. I'm giving her to you" you say without moving a muscle. Darren looked at you confused, just as much as Chuck and Lucy. "I'm ready" Chuck giggled with his arms expanded to you. "Yep. Yep, yep, yep..." you repeated. Gosh you couldn't do it. You couldn't leave your baby like this, even to them.

Darren was about to break the silence who filled the room but Lucy beat him into it. "y/n, I know Chuck and I don't have children yet. Soon we will but uhm" she said as she put her hand over her little baby bump. "I know you're scared, that's normal. It's the first time you will leave her. But I promise that everything is gonna be fine" she says as she steps closer to you. You felt tears running slowly down your cheeks, you didn't even had the time to hold them back. "Can I take her?" she asked softly. "Yeah" you breath out. She took her away from you to take her into her arms. Sami started to cry and Darren took you by the waist to make you leave. "Come on babe, let's go" he says before he kissed your forehead. He drags you outside and you both went in the car. "You're okay?" Darren asked as he saw you looking at the landscape through the window. "Yeah, I'm good" you say as you dry your tears. "I know it's hard babe, leaving her is not easy, for the both of us but...let's just try to enjoy our night without bottles, toys and stuffed animals okay?" he smiles. You chuckled and kiss him. "Okay" you whispers against his lips. Darren cupped your face to kiss you more deeply and it felt so good to just feel him. You pulled away and he kissed your cheek, before he turns on the car, taking you on this baby-free kinda night.
