/!\ IMAGINE WRITTEN FROM DARREN'S POV /!\

Living with a pregnant woman is magical for the most part. The fact that the person you love is carrying a tiny piece of you and your love, a little one you already learned to love is pretty awesome. Feeling the baby kicking is pretty awesome. The pregnancy libido is fucking awesome. But not everything is great. Let me explain...

"This baby is gonna be the death of me" she sighed and held on to the toilet bowl. Seeing her in pain is bad. I slowly brushed a wet washcloth on her face. She pushed me away and puked again in the toilet. I looked away and scrunched my face, still rubbing her back for support. 'In sickness and health, Darren' I kept repeating in my mind, 'In sickness and health'. The hormones can be great... Or not so great. "Why are you crying?" I said once I noticed it. "It's just-" she sobbed, "They all thought he was gonna die in that car accident but he didn't and now he's alive and that's so great" she rambled. I chuckled. "Stop laughing at me" she whined between sobs. "Aw honey. It's okay" I grinned and put her head on my shoulder. But I think the worst part is coping with the mood changes. "I feel like a whale" "I feel awesome!" "I'm starving!" "Don't give me food, I'm gonna puke" "Go sleep on the couch" "I love you so much". But as a partner, you have to keep your cool. I probably should have remember this that day. "Darren, get me that remote" she asked one day when she couldn't reach it. I gave it to her. "I'm so hungry. Are you ever gonna make food?" she requested. I got up and started making dinner. "Give me a pillow" she said. "You know what? Here. Take your damn pillow" I answered as I put it next to her. "I get that you can basically use your pregnant card and it's my job to be there to you but you could at least give me a little respect! I'm not your fucking slave, goddammit" I shouted. I looked down at her as she was sitting on the couch, and for a second I thought we would be on for a fight. But no.

Her mad face quickly faced into a frown and she just bursted out crying. "I'm sorryyyy" she said as she put her head in her hands. "No" I sat next to her "Please don't cry. I just..." I groaned. "I'm being such an ass to you when you're so great with me. I'm so sorry" she apologized as tears were running down her face. "It's okay, let's just forget that. Stop crying? Please? It breaks my heart everytime" I said as I dry off her tears. She nodded and sniffed. "Come on, let's go eat" I suggested and stood up from the couch to go in the kitchen. "Uhm Darren?" I heard her asking away. "What?" I said and put my head back into the living room. "I cant- I can't get up" she said as she struggled to get up, a hand on her big belly. "Oh yeah sorry" I said and took her hands to help her. A few seconds after, she was on her feet again. I kissed her forehead. "I'm sorry for being a jerk" she said again. "You're not. You're the most precious person to me. And you're carrying the other most precious thing in my life. So I guess we're even" I tilted my face. She giggled, "I love you". "I love you too" I grinned and kissed her.

The miracle of life, people.
