Imagine being at a party where Darren had to go for work. His first episode on Glee aired a few weeks ago and ever since, life has been kind of crazy. Interviews, parties, photoshoots, everything was suddenly huge for him and you couldn't be more proud. For this party, Darren had a plus one and ask you to be his and, of course, you accepted. "Well I got the part for a new Broadway musical. I mean, didn't officially got the part yet, but I'm in "competition" with a college kid and the son of a producer. Come on, they are not even serious competitors. It's like I already have it" said some Broadway star. You didn't know him, but Darren was fanboying over him and explain he has been on several Broadway productions. Even if he was, you found him pretty arrogant. You were pretty sure Darren was thinking the same, judging by the way his hand squeezed yours everytime the guy was drooling over himself. You had to find a way to get out of here, and quickly. "Darren! Y/n! Can you come here please?" said Ricky, Darren's manager, across the room. 'Thank God' you thought. "Sorry, we have to go. It was nice meeting and talking to you" Darren said to Mr. Cocky before going over to Ricky with you. "We owe you one, dude" Darren thanked him. They highed five and Ricky chuckled "Anytime". He left and went to talk to some other people, leaving you and your boyfriend alone. "Not too disappointed?" you asked. "No it's okay. I mean his arrogance won't change his talent but you know that kinda sucks" he explains. "Yep. It does" you admit. Darren took your hands and looked right into your eyes. "Let's make a promise" he says. "No matter what we become, no matter how famous or huge we are, promise me that everytime I talk like him, you would hit my shoulder and remind me how dumb I really am". "Same for me" you add. "Ok, promise?" Darren said with a smile. He let go of your hands, and held out one of his for a handshake. You giggle and took his hand before shaking it. "Promise".
