Imagine. Your day at work has been exhausting. You had to run from one place to another all day long, to do interview after interview for your upcoming projects and answering the same questions all day long. All you wanted to do was going home, lay on the couch and not move for a week. But of course, that was quite impossible with two kids at home. Anyway, you were pretty sure the three sunshines of your life will make you forget your fatigue the moment you see them. With that idea in mind and a smile on your face, you opened the front door. You immediately heard laughs and squeals, which makes you grin fondly. "Daddy, sing the hometown song!" Sami asked excitedly.
You step into the hall and walked to the living room to see exactly what you needed to see tonight. Darren was at the piano, his glasses up on his nose and Kyle on his lap who randomly tap the keys while his father show him the right ones. Sami was laying on the back of the grand piano. Darren looked at Sami before adjusting his glasses. "Yeah we are gonna do that one. Look, Kyle-" "Yeah?" the little boy asked, agitated. Darren chuckled and showed a key to his son. "Here, you got this one. Everytime I touch your elbow, you press it okay?" he explained. Kyle nodded energically. He was always excited to play piano. Darren hoped he will be able to teach him a few things before Kyle starts to take classes, like he did with Sami and guitar. Darren started to play, tapping Kyle's elbow softly everytime that he needed that note.
Sami looked amazed as her father, her face held by her hands and a grin on her face. "The loveliness of Paris seems somehow sadly gay. The glory that was Rome is of another day" Darren sang. You lean on the wall, your heart against the fabric, and just listened. You loved when he sang that one and the kids loved it too. Darren did a little sign at Sami to go on, and with her cute little voice, she tried to remember the lyrics. "I've been terribly lonely and forgot New York" Sami sang, unsure. "Close" Darren chuckled. "I'm going home to my city by the Bay" they continued. You didn't dare step into that perfect sight, but once they finished, you couldn't help but to clap. "Mommy!" Sami and Kyle screamed and ran to you and your husband's face lit up with a grin. "Mommy! Mommy! Daddy taught me to do, the re, and the mi today" Kyle explained slowly as he count with his fingers. "3 notes!" he jumped of excitment. You giggle and pat his hair. "That's awesome baby!" "And I sang with Daddy and Kyle and it was totally awesome!" your daughter squealed of joy. "So cool" you grin. You kneel down to hug them both and kiss their cheeks before going to sit next to Darren on the stool. "Do I get to have a kiss?" you ask playfully. "Depends! What did you learn today?" he jokes. You giggled and took his face with your hands to deliver a sweet kiss on his lips.
