Imagine. You were at a friend's wedding with your husband and kids. "Mom, can I take off my bowtie? It's annoying me" your 10 year old boy asked as he joined you at the table. "Sure, just pull on this side and it will fall off" you explain and put his hand gently on the part of the bowtie you indicated. He pulled it and sighed happily when the cloth fell around his neck. "Thanks! Can I go play now?" he asked. His hazel eyes were the exact same as his father. You tilted your head and smiled at him. "Sure, go ahead". You kissed his cheek and watched him go with your friend's kids.
"I'm boooored" Sami exclaimed. Her hands were holding her head and she pouted. "Oh, the hard life of a young teenager" Darren said with a sly smile and glimpsed at you. You chuckled. "Stop mocking me" Sami said, slightly annoyed by her father's comment. "I'm not mocking you, Sam. I'm just trying to make you feel better. What would you wanna do?" he asked. He was so cute with the kids. You never got tired of seeing them together. "I don't know" she shrugged. The music changed and a smile grew on Darren's face. "I love this song!" he exclaimed. "Please don't" Sami begged, more serious than ever to her father. He slowly raised from his chair with some snaps and a little shoulder move. "Come on, dance with me" he said, now fully standing. He was doing his Warbler moves, as he called it. Step right, clap, step left, clap. "Dad, that's embarassing. Please stop" Sami said as she looked around, avoiding her father's glance. "Honey?" he turned to you. He held his hand to yours and you quickly took it. "Can't say no to that" you answered and followed your husband to the dance floor.
Sami sighed. Now she was bored and alone. "What are you looking at?" Kyle asked before sitting next to his sister. Next thing she knew, a bunch of kids were sitting at the table with her. "Are your parents also dancing?" asked Sarah to Sami. "Yeah, yours too?" she asked back."Yep" Sarah sighed, looking in the direction of her parents, Brian and Meredith, dancing not so far from you. "Is Daddy twerking?" Kyle asked and squinted his eyes to be sure. Sami looked in his direction, and... "Oh gosh... Kyle, please, let's not mention that those two people are our parents anymore. I'm trying to keep a social life". "It's not like we're gonna judge anyway. I mean, look at them. My mom is doing cartwheels" Noah said as he pointed to Lauren. "I'm pretty sure my dad is doing the rope move right now" Aiden said. Everyone looked at Joey and laughed. "I wonder who are the real kids" Sami asked slowly. All the kids looked at each other before nodding "Them. Definitely them" they laughed.
