Ch.36

Karoline POV

I had been having trouble controling my anger lately. I was really nervous about going back to school and had been really tempted to cut and go back to my E.D. tendencies. I trie my best to eat, but the voice in my head beat me every time. I got really jealous of Sky because Demi spent all her time with her. I went for a walk and left a note. It was around 9:30. I walked to the park and there was some sort of party going on. Kids looked around my age.

“Can I crash this,” I yelled.

“Hell yeah,” some guy said.

“Wanna beer,” someone asked. I hesitated and then just took one. Someone tried to get me to smoke a joint, but I denied that. I was quickly drunk and checked the time. It was not quite 12. I had one last beer and left. Thank god it wasn’t that far away from my house. I was stumbling and couldn’t see straight. I was finally back to the house. I walked in the front door and Demi was on the couch.

“Is that you Karoline,” she asked.

“Yup,” I said popping the P.

“Where the hell have you been,” she asked.

“At the park,” I said. I fell down. I tripped. I started laughing.

“Are you drunk,” she asked me.

“Yeah, why the hell do you care Demi. Have some fun,” I starting laughing.

“It isn’t funny. Who were you with,” she asked.

“I don’t know,” I said.

“Give me your phone,” she said.

“No,” I got up slowly and went to my room.

“Give it to me,” she said following me.

“I said no, get away from me. You’re ruining my buzz,” I said.

“I am going to ignore that, you are so grounded, please give me your phone,” I said. I thought she already went through this.

“No, I need my phone,” she said.

“You know what, go to sleep,” I said. I gave up, she was so stubborn.

THE NEXT MORNING

I woke up the next morning and remembered the night. I was up most of the night thinking about what I should do. I decided I was going to ground her. That was all I could do. I didn’t want to lose her trust.

“Wake up,” I said. It was around 12 in the afternoon and I knew she would have a killer headache.

“Mmm,” she moaned.

“No, get up. You were the one who did that last night. We have things we have to do today,” I said. I was beyond upset with her.

“What did I do,” she said. I opened the blinds.

“Ahh, no don’t do that,” she said.

“Next time, don’t run off like that,” I said.

“Whatever give me some privacy,” she yelled.

“Don’t talk to me like that,” I said.

Karoline POV

I remembered vaguely what happened last night. I remembered I messed up pretty bad. I got in a fight with Demi and I was supposed to be grounded. I jumped in the shower.

‘come on you want to’ I looked around and no one is my bathroom. Oh Jesus.

‘leave me alone please’ I talk to them like they are people.
