Ch.49

Karoline POV

The next few days were pretty normal. I still haven’t gotten bullied and I refrain from saying my last name. Tomorrow is picture day. I am getting my driver’s license sooner than I thought. Demi read something that I can take it since she is not always home to drive me where I need to go. I take that tomorrow afternoon and if I pass I can drive on my own. I promised Demi that if I drive than I will put my phone in the trunk and get it out when I am at my destination. It was ridiculous, but I guess for the best.

I am picking out something fancier for picture day. I sat out black jeans, a white blouse, and black platform heels. It was cute and simple. I was going to curl my hair for picture day. I didn’t want to look like a horse for it. I did my night routine and then quickly fell asleep.

**NEXT MORNING**

I did my hair and quickly got out the door. Demi was waiting in the car.

“Mom can I have some friends over on Friday night,” I asked.

“I don’t know, let me see what our agenda is,” she said. I got to school and walked over to where everyone was.

“Hey,” I said walking up

“What’s up, and we never got your number,” Carmen said.

“Oh okay, its ***-***-****, you guys just text me and tell me who it is,” I laughed. I had the background as Demi, Sky, and I. I also had Demi as one of my only contacts. They all texted me and told me what they want their names to be.

“I love your outfit,” I complimented Leeliah.

“Thanks you too,” she said back.

“What is everyone doing on Friday,” I asked. Demi will let me have friends over and if not I can go shopping or something with them. I made a promise to myself that I will try and not let anxiety get in the way, besides I am on medication for it now too.

“Nothing, we usually go shopping,” Kendall said.

“What is I said you guys can maybe come over on Friday,” I said.

“That would be cool, you are pretty chill,” Nicole said.

“I try my best,” I laughed. I took my pictures and mom checked me out the last period.

“Are you ready for the driver’s test,” she asked.

“Yeah,” I smiled.

“How was school,” she asked.

“The usual, so can my friends come over,” I asked.

“You said one of them is a lovatic right,” she asked.

“Yeah, but not a huge one, she didn’t recognize me,” I pointed out.

“Okay, I will still hide out in my room,” she laughed.

“Okay,” I smiled. I sometimes wish my mom wasn’t you know famous, but I love her too much to despise her for it.

**AFTER DRIVERS TEST**

“I passed,” I screamed as I got back in the car. I showed off my cute little drivers license.

“I have about an hour before I have to be to the studio or on my way. Do you want to go and get accessories for your car,” she asked.

“Yes I do,” I nodded. We got a couple of things, I got a new wallet and a smelly thing for my car. I get to drive to school tomorrow. I am so excited. Demi left and I made a group message.

Karoline-‘Hey, you guys can come over on Friday if you want’

Carmen- ‘I already asked my mom, she is fine with it’

Nicole- ‘My parents aren’t even here for a couple of weeks xD’

Sarah- ‘I am pretty sure I can, let me check with my mom’

Leeliah- ‘Just asked, my mom said whatever’

Karoline- ‘You guys want to go shopping first’

Carmen- ‘Sounds good, but GTG I have a little bit of homework’

Karoline- ‘I think we all do’

Tomorrow was Friday. I couldn’t wait, this was my first group of friends. I had Audrey, but she had other friends as well.

**AT SCHOOL**

I got up, so I could get ready. I could drive my car, I was so excited. I drove up and my friends were waiting for me.

“Nice car,” Leeliah said.

“My mom got it for me,” I smiled.

“Wait your only 15,” Carmen said.

“I will tell you the story at lunch, but you have to promise not to freak. Especially you Nicole,” I laughed.

“Okay, I won’t,” she laughed.

**AT LUNCH**

“Alright, so I could get my license early. Let’s just say my mom travels a lot and I am left to get around myself. I love her, but she does a lot. There is some law or something that says I can get it early if my parents aren’t around a lot,” I said.

“Who is your mom,” they asked.

“My mom is a singer,” I said. All their eyes widened.

“Who is it,” Nicole asked.

“Demi Lovato,” I said. I looked up and Nicole had the biggest smile on her face.

“That is where you look familiar from,” she laughed.

“My mom is going to be in her room the whole night on Friday,” I said.

“It doesn’t matter, we all have pretty important parents,” Sarah said.

“Yeah, Nicole knows the story a little bit probably. My biological parents are a famous designer and the maker of some greatly used website. I sort of own it now,” I laughed.

“Wait you own a big website,” Kendall asked.

“Yeah, but I don’t work on it until I am eighteen I have people who work on it every day,” I said.

“That is so cool,” Carmen said.

“Yeah, it is,” I laughed. We went the rest of lunch talking about our parents. It was soon the end of the day. We went to the mall and shopped until around 7:30. We put our stuff in the back of my car and then went in.

“Mom, I am home,” I called upstairs.

“Okay,” she called back.

“I am in the Demi Lovato’s house,” Nicole said. Carmen kicked her.

“It’s okay, you can talk to her if you want to,” I said.

“Really, I have met her before, but I never imagined I was going to be in her house,” Carmen said.

“Hold on, let me take this stuff upstairs and you guys can come and put your stuff down as well,” I said.

“Hey mom, come here,” I yelled.

“Yeah,” she said walking through the door.

“Wait, did you go shopping again,” Demi asked. I felt my face go crimson.

“I just wanted to hang out with my friends,” I faked a tear.

“Okay, whatever,” she said. 

“These are my friends, Leeliah, Carmen, Kendall, Nicole, the lovatic one, and Sarah,” I finished.

“Okay and hi to all of you. I am down the hall if you need me,” she said walking out. Sky came running in. I grabbed her, picked her up and spinned her around.

“Oh no you don’t,” I teased. I made her leave and then we just did girl stuff for the rest of the night.
