Ch.51

**DEMI POV**

I found Karoline toppled over the bed and Kendall was passed out or asleep.  I ran up to Karoline and checked for breathing, it might be a bit much, but I just wanted to make sure. There was a faint one and I needed to take her to the hospital. I went over to Kendall and she was just asleep, her breathing was hard.

I rushed to the car and put Karoline in the back. I went back up and grabbed her back and rushed to the hospital. I went in considering I could barely carry her to the car and asked if they would get my daughter and bring her in, she almost had no pulse. They ran out to the car with a gurney and brought her in. I got Sky and her diaper bag and sat in the waiting room. It had been like an hour and the doctor finally came out.

“Karoline overdosed on a mix of drugs and alcohol, and went into coma,” the doctor said.

“Will she be okay, she is going to be okay right,” I asked frantically.

“We don’t know, we can keep her on life support for as long as possible,” he said.

“Can I see her,” I asked.

“Yes, right this way,” he said. I walked as calmly as I could behind him. I had continuous tears flowing down my face.

I walked in to see my baby girl lying there almost lifeless.

“Baby girl come back to me. I promise I will never hit you again. I didn’t mean to. I don’t know why I did it. Just come back. I can’t lose you Karoline. We, you have come too far. I need you please,” I cried. I realized I still had Sky; I left her in the waiting room.

“Mommy is sorry come here,” I said once I got in the waiting room. I picked her up and brought her to Karoline’s room.

“Sithy is w-w wwong,” Sky tried. She has some words down. I don’t know she is going to be 3 soon, so she is getting cute with speech. She was trying to say what’s wrong with sissy .

“Sissy is sleeping,” I said. She just nodded her head.

“Can you keep sissy company while I got call Aunty Marissa,” I asked. She nodded again.  I went to the hallway. It took around 4 rings and she picked up.

“Hey Mar, can you come and get Sky. I am at the hospital. Karoline tried to overdose and she did it. She is coma,” I said. I broke down in tears. I squatted on the floor and just broke down. I cleaned myself up and went back in. Sky was playing with Karoline’s hair.

“Hey baby, Aunty Mar is going to come and get you. Ya’ll are going to go and get some dinner and then go home. I will come and check on you tomorrow. Do you understand,” I asked.  

Mar came and got her. I got Karoline’s stuff and took them out of the bag, so I can get her money and phone. I unlocked her phone. It opened and it opened to her notes.

‘Hey mom, I know that you are reading this. I know you are going to be the first. I am not mad, I forgive you, but it was just too much. I couldn’t handle it anymore. If you don’t know already, I relapsed.  I am sorry, I couldn’t take it. I started having flashbacks. If I do survive this than I guess you will talk to me, if not then I love you so much. I love you all so much. Can you tell Sarah, Carmen, Leeliah, Nicole, and Kendall, and Audrey please? It would mean a lot. I love you and don’t grieve too much, it will only hurt worse
