I almost scream at the sight of her, but she doesn't have any reaction. Her icy blue eyes stare at me in annoyance and slightly widen when I cover my mouth.
"I must admit, I didn't expect to see you this soon. You look well, Violet, but what's that on your back? A crossbow? Take that awful thing off, and come give me a hug." She says, pushing herself to stand and opening her arms for an embrace. I shake my head and hold in tears.
"Violet, come here and give me a hug." She repeats, taking a step towards me. I shake my head at her and finally get the courage to put my hands at my sides.
"What happened dear? You look very upset." She says, looking at me with a confused look on her face.
"I am upset! Because you sent someone to shoot my husband, but they missed and shot me!" I shout at her, finally letting out my emotions. Her face turns to shock and she takes in a breath.
"Oh, dear, I didn't want them to hit you. Are you alright?" She asks me, coming even closer.
"No! Because it killed my daughter!" I shout again, tears starting to spill out of my eyes. Janice stares at me, confusion and anger in her eyes. She takes in a few deep breathes and rubs her hands together.
"Violet... I'm really sorry, but I was doing what was best for you. Honestly, do you think I would let you marry a man like that? He is a tool and doesn't know anything about you, dear. And about your daughter... You don't want that responsibility, I promise you. You're not ready for that my dear, and I don't know if you ever will be. Now, come here dear, I want to give you a hug." She says, once again opening her arms for me. I stare at her with my jaw dropped and my eyes staring at her coldly.
"No." I say simply, taking a step back.
"What?" She asks me, tilting her head in a form of confusion, but I know better. She's just mad at me.
"I said no. I'm not going to hug you, never again. Don't you tell me what I'm not ready for, you don't know who I am anymore. You know, I thought you were dead, and now I find out that I was wrong. But now, I wish I was right, and that you were dead and would just stay out of my life! I wish that some Easter found you and bit your stupid face off! Because at least then I wouldn't have to explain to everyone why my child is dead!" I shout and with that I reach out my hand and slap her across the face. My anger gets the best of me sometimes, and I don't regret any of it. She stares at me with shock and anger boiling inside her.
"I'm not going to deal with you anymore. Fuck you Janice, and if I see you ever again, I will kill you." I say, spinning away from her on my heal and storming out of the room.
"Get her!" She shouts and I feel a pair of hands wrap around my biceps and something hit my head, knocking me out.

***

When I wake up, I feel like I did when I woke up at Ian's hideout. Confused, tired and laying on cold cement and metal bars in front of me. Well, I never thought she would knock me out and shove me in a cell. Then again, I never though she would put my in a mental hospital just to get rod of me.
"Hello?" I call out, maybe there's someone else here like last time. No response, well, it was worth a try. I rub my head with the palm of my hand and slowly sit myself up. I lean up against the wall and run my fingers over the edges of the bars. They're cold metal and have small droplets on them, as well as some rust. These cells aren't used often most likely, they're too dirty and not even guarded. I can probably get out of here easily. My eyes adjust to the light and I can see the silhouette of bars and a small lock on what I assume to be the door. I push myself up and walk towards it. I run my fingers over the lock, even a small knife would break it. This isn't high quality at all, just some breakable metal. Wait, a small knife. I knew grabbing those small daggers from Jack's house would be worth it. I shove my fingers in my breastplate and pull out the small knife I had put in there earlier. I grab the lock with my other and and swipe the knife over the top of the lock. It shatters almost instantly, how weak, only further proving that I was right and this cell isn't used much. I push open the door, it creaks loudly. Oh, it's rusty too, how interesting. I hold the knife out, ready to use it if necessary. I can tell that they took my crossbow, it's heavy on my back when it's there, and now it's just not. I walk out of my cell and see the shape of a door across from me through the darkness. That's my only option right now, and even if it turns out bad, I can always fight my way through it. I put my hand on the doorknob and try to turn it, to check if it's locked. It is, but that shouldn't be a problem for me. I shove my knife in a place near the doorframe and I can hear the sound of it breaking apart. It takes some effort, but I'm strong enough to get it. I try once more to twist the knob, works this time. I swing open the door and make sure that my knife is ready to use. On the other side, I see a guard sitting in a chair and another standing, staring at me in shock. He grabs at a gun holster at his side and I throw the knife at his hand. It sticks in his hand and small amounts of blood ooze from his wounded hand. The man shrieks in pain and then with his other hand reaches for his gun. I dive at him and knock him to the floor, I then pound my elbow into his throat and grab the gun on his side. I don't take much time to aim, just make sure that the safety is off and then shoot his head. Blood sprays all over me, but I shut my mouth, so none got there at least. I wipe my eyes with the back of my hand and then wipe the blood onto the guards clothes. I take in a deep breath as I get up from the floor, taking my knife with me. The guard who had previously been asleep in the chair has woken up and now holds a gun pointed at me.
"Drop the gun and the knife." He demands, poising his finger on the trigger. I take in a breath and slowly lean towards the ground to put down my weapons.
"Just take it easy..." I say in a hushed voice. The man looks nervous and still has sleep in his eyes. I remember the knife I put in my combat boot, I can see it now. I gently pur the gun on the floor and the knife following it. I start going back up and in one swift movement I grab the knife in my boot and throw it hard at the man. It hits his wrist and he drops the gun. I grab the fun I had and aim it at the guard.
"Stop right there." I say sternly. He looks at me with pure fear in his eyes.
"Now, you answer my questions or I'll do the same to you that I did to your friend over there." I say, gesturing my head to the dead guard behind me. He nods fearfully and holds his hand tightly. I grab a part of my shirt and rip it swiftly. I toss him the cloth and he pulls the knife out of his skin with a wince. He wraps the cloth around his wrist and nods in appreciation.
"Alright, are there any other prisoners here? And if so, how many?" I question, returning to the actual reason I'm doing this. The gaurd takes in a breath and gulps hard.
"There are four prisoners and one is in the room you came from, two are in another room, but the last one... He's being executed today, you can't get to him even if you wanted to." He says, his eyes intently staring at the barrel of the gun that's pointed at him.
"Where is the other room? Can you give me the key?" I ask. He nods and reaches towards his belt. He grabs a large array of keys on a single metal ring. He pulls two off and tosses them to me. I catch them easily while keeping the gun steady.
"And where is the execution happening?" I question, fiddling with the keys in my hand.
"You won't be able to get the guy, she's already made up her mind." He states in a tone that shows his respect for the event that will be happening.
"I don't care, I'm going to try. Where is it happening?" I repeat, more stern this time.
"Outside, in the front lawn, they're going to let the dead set him." He explains. I nod, I'll be able to save him much easier then. I don't even know who it is, but I'm saving Team 4. I brought them outside, and I'm going to bring them back inside with Jack. I slowly take steps towards him and lower my gun.
"I'm sorry about this, but I'm sure you'll understand." I say. I raise my arm and slam the gun handle hard into his head, knocking him out. I had to do it, I couldnt have him causing me trouble in this rescue mission. It would just mess everything up if that happened. I walk back into the room I came from and begin rescuing.

I finally get everyone out, but there is one person missing, Tom. The team had informed me that he was fighting the guards and didn't get knocked out. Wendy told me that she heard a gunshot and thought he was dead. I'm not sure if that's true, but there is someone else being held here and I'm going to save them either way.  I see the large door we entered through, the same slot and everything present. There look to be three locks, and they're simple, like you would see in a home. Although, I'm not leaving yet. I'm still missing something, something very dear to me. My crossbow. The team gives me a confused look when I walk into the weapon stock in the hallway. But soon they understand, considering that none of us have many weapons at the moment.
"Are you looking for the crossbow?" Fin asks me as he grabs a rifle and loads it.
"Yeah, it's special to me." I respond, moving my eyes over the stock, just looking for one thing and not seeming to find it.
"Is this it?" Wendy asks me, pulling down a black crossbow from a high shelf.
"No, mine has small green bits, but I'll take this one if it's not here." I say, taking the crossbow from Wendy and she examines the rest of the stock. I run my fingers over the trigger and the loading place. The wire is tighter and the trigger has small bumps on it, where mine doesn't. This seems much less used than mine and might be higher quality. On the shelf I also see my sheeth and all my arrows. I can tell it's mine from the large blood spray on the side. Mark once stabbed an Eater right next to me and it stained the sheeth. I grab it and throw it over my shoulder where it belongs. My crossbow, however is nowhere to be found. At least I have this one, even if it isn't mine, it's better than nothing.
