The forests are thick, more than I had thought. I hear Josh calling my name even when I am miles away. I find a small hill with a cave like structure underneath. I climb into it and grab brush on the ground and use it to hide myself from sight. I sit while I feel my skin get covered in goosebumps and shivers go down my spine. The cold drops of rain begin to soak their way into my cave, but I stay hidden out of fear of what Josh may do once he finds me. I hear footsteps pass by me with the sound of the rain, but the footsteps are more distinguished and harder. I back into my cave further and pull the brush over my skin, which lightly slices parts of my pants and skin below them. Stray twigs stab my arms, but I hold my breath to keep from making a sound.
"Violet?" Josh calls, much closer now than the last time he shouted for me. I stay silent, biting my lip hard to the point that I feel blood slide down my chin. The footsteps continue further away from me and I stay silent until the sound of raindrops is the only one around me. I push the brush off me and creep out of the cave I had found and begin running in whatever direction I could. I simply knew it was away from the footsteps. I have to get back home, to be able to tell Shane what happened. At this point, I doing Josh will continue bothering me after this, especially if I let Shane handle him. I run as fast as I'm able, which is actually quite slow because my legs are sore and my breath is heavy. I'm tired already, and the spit of rain on my skin just makes it worse.
"I found her!" I hear a male voice shout through the forest. I shake my head, trying to make myself believe that it isn't me. That whoever it is doesn't want me and was looking for someone else. More footsteps begin rushing towards me, faster than I could ever go in this state. I shake my head and just try to keep going, but collapse on the ground on sharp twigs and leaves sticking to my skin. I try to place my face in my palms, and end up crying into the leaves that have stuck to my hands. I feel a pair of arms lift me off the ground and drag me to my feet, but I am not string enough to hold myself, and end up falling into the man behind me.
"Help..." I call in a hushed voice which seems to be the best I can manage through my sobs.
"Help!" I scream and begin silently crying to myself.
"I'm here, Violet. I'll help you with whatever you need." Josh tells me, his face suddenly coming into view in front of me. I sob harder and squeeze my eyes closed in a hope to vanish him from my view, from my life, from everything and everyone around me. It seems the stress gets to me quickly and not only does my vision completely vanish, but my strength does and I fall limp, passed out.

I wake in what I can only describe as a daze. Everything is blurry to the point it doesn't seem real. The world shakes around me, making my head ache and my body twitch every few seconds.
"Wake up." Kate tells me, her voice echoing through my head. I must admit, this voice in my head that had gone for a long while, I didn't miss her at all.
"Wake up." Kate demands in her usual annoyed voice.
"I haven't heard from you in a while. I thought you finally left me." I mumble back to her, feeling my head go spinning in circles.
"Why would I leave? My brother is obsessed with you, even kidnapped you like the little brat he always was." Kate whines.
"I thought Josh died... With you and Lily. Is that why I hear you with me all the time? Because you're mad that your brother loved me? Or are you still alive because that car never actually crashed? Was it all just another lie from my mother?" I ask her, slightly annoyed and still in a haze.
"No, it crashed. Little Joshy was the only one to live through it, but he shouldn't have. He was the worst of us, and if any of us deserved to die it was him. Of course, that irony will always be there." Kate laughs coldly with her words. I laugh slightly and shake my head, trying to clear it and bring myself back to reality. It doesn't work much, but now I just feel a small needle stuck in my arm.
"What did Josh do to me?" I ask as I shake my head harder and feel tears glisten around my eyes.
"He drugged you up pretty bad. He had chloroform over your mouth to the point that you almost died. Now he has some type of hallucinogen flowing into your blood. I hope this ends soon, seeing my brother fuck you up like this is sickening to look at." Kate replies, almost nicely. That is rare for her.
"You actually feel bad for me, then?" I ask her with a small laugh.
"No. My brother being a sick freak to you is what bothers me." Kate replies with a small scoff. I laugh to myself, of course she didn't really care about me. Just her little brother being a monster towards me.
