~*Violets POV*~

I look right at Allan, waiting for whatever tedious question he has for me.
"Mrs. Lancaster," the weasel starts, rubbing his hands together.
"Yes?" I ask, raising a brow. Didn't he have any plan before pulling me up here? I would have thought he would at least have a clue.
"What were your orders when Mr. Ian Myers have imprisoned?" Allan questions me sternly. I shrug and try to think back.
"I think it was something like... 'Lock him up and never let him out again'." I explain, thinking back to that time when I had finally gotten Jack back, his bruised and damaged self delivered to me.
"Never let him out? What if the trail caused him to be proven innocent?" Allan questions me, raising a brow at me.
"Proven innocent? This wasn't a right or wrong question. He was guilty, you could have asked anybody he tortured. We all knew it, and you can't let out somebody like that." I explain, as if the whole thing was a ridiculous question, which it was.
"So, you knew it too I'm guessing?" Allan questions.
"Of course I knew. He took me too for a short time." I respond while nodding slowly, remembering the dark cell he locked Maddie and I in those few days.
"Ah, so what would you have said at his trail, if it would have happened before he escaped?" Allan asks me curiously.
"Trial? There was no trial." I state, wrinkling my eyebrows at him in complete confusion. "He was guilty." I repeat while shaking my head.
"What about the trial that Mr. Zen and your husband had planned for him?" Allan asks me further, glancing at Shane with a smirk on his face.
"There was no trial. Shane would have told me if there were." I demand sternly.
"There was no trial... Are you sure?" Allan asks, his smile only widening at my response.
"I'm positive." I state back with the same sterness I had before.
"So, that either means that Mr. Lancaster lied to his own wife, or both him and Mr. Zen were lying about this whole situation." Allan says, turning to Shane, seeing what his response to this would be.
"She did not know at the time, since it was not happening soon enough. Mr. Zen and I had not scheduled an exact date yet, and I did not see a reason to tell my wife just yet." Shane explains while crossing his arms again.
"That is true." A blonde man with bright blue eyes announces.
"Ah, so you just had not told your wife yet. As in, you were planning to tell her about this, even though it was a secret trial away from public view?" Allan asks my husband.
"She is not the entire public, and in my wedding vows I discussed how she will know about my business." Shane replied while giving me a glance, but he kept his eyes on Allan in the end, giving him an endless glare.
"Also, Violet being the wife of the man who runs the Main District, it just makes sense. It isn't like she's going to go around telling everyone anyways." Mark says with a small laugh coming after his words.
"Mr. King, do you have more of a point to this trial? It seems to just be your anger coming out in a way that is only embarrassing yourself." One man states while tapping a few papers on a table to organize them. Allan turns towards the man and shoots him a glare worse than the one he had been feeding Shane.
"Of course I have a point, Mr. Winters." Allan spits at the man while continuing his glare of death.
"James, please let the man speak. He summoned us here today, and I'm sure he actually has evidence behind his words. Only an idiot wouldn't." Shane chuckles softly, while looking at the man who had just given Allan the insult.
"Alright, then let's see this evidence." The man who I've figured is James Winters states, crossing his arms and glancing back down at one of his papers.
"Well... We don't have physical evidence, just the words of these witnesses is enough." Josh replies while nodding to himself. I have to bite my lip to keep from laughing.
"Yes, you are right. That is enough of this." James Winters chuckles while shaking his head.
"Does anyone object to Mr. Lancaster continuing to own the Main District?" A man with piercing blue eyes questions while looking around the room. There are no hands raised, only Allan shaking his head and giving an upset sigh.
"Alright. That settles it. Mr. Shane Lancaster will continue owning his district and all others. And, Mr. Joshua McNeil will be banished from all districts once again." The same man from before states with a single nod afterwards.
"Thank you, Mr. Zen for the final verdict, and thank you, ladies and gentlemen for coming here today." Tim states while letting out an annoyed sigh. I walk directly to Shame after that and link my arm with his.
"This was a waste of time..." He mutters under his breath while conversation in the room erupts.
"It was..." I agree while shaking my head slowly. We walk together towards the exit while both of us shaking our heads slowly in unison.
"Shane." Someone calls from behind, causing us both to turn.
"Oh, hello, James." Shane greets the man who had been holding the papers. The black hair atop this man's head is slicked back while his dark brown eyes have a certain fire inside them.
"I have the documents." He states while handing the papers he had been holding into my husband's hand.
"All of them?" He questions, slightly raising a brow.
"Yes." James answers with a swift nod. Shane flips through them, and I see many words melted together.

Shane closes the papers and puts them under his arm and looks back up at James.
"Thank you. I will be handling this soon." Shane states while giving a very slow nod.
"Of course." James replies with another nod. "Well, until next time. Goodbye, Shane." He mutters while walking away and quickly goes through the exit. I glance at Shane and our eyes meet for only a moment.
"What are those papers?" I ask him in a hushed voice.
"It is about District 4. There have been riots there recently, and it needs a new owner. People have been fighting for it, and many want me to govern it." Shane explains quietly, as if he was whispering in my ear the entire time.
"What are you going to do?" I ask him, turning my head towards him. Shane sighs and looks back at me, his blue eyes showing his upset state.
"I don't know yet. I was thinking of sending men to search for Carter, but they found his body in the woods a while back. I basically sent my brother to his death, and now I'm paying the price..." He mutters while tears brim his eyes. I sigh, deep inside knowing why he is dead, its because I killed him. I shake my head softly and place my hand on his cheek to comfort him.
"It wasn't your fault, Shane." I whisper while planting a kiss on his lips.
