~*Violets POV*~

I stomp around the bed in this unoccupied room to let out my anger until I hear a knock at the door. I stop in my tracks and stare at the door, slightly confused.
"It's open." I call as I place myself on the bed in the room.
"Don't worry, I come in peace Ms. Stomps-a-lot." Mark chuckles as he walks inside.
"Sorry, did I wake you from your nap?" I ask him, slightly embarrassed.
"Wake me? No, surprise me? Yes." Mark chuckles once more as he sits next to me on the bed.
"Sorry... I'm just mad at Shane..." I say in a hushed voice. I fiddle with something in my pocket and sigh as I pull it out.
"He had pictures of Jack from security cameras like this one." I say as I stare down at the image with my arms wrapped around his neck in the interrogation room.
"Oh... How many were there?" Mark asks quietly while we both stare at Jack and I in the photograph.
"About fifteen, maybe twenty." I tell him in a hushed voice.
"Wow..." Mark mumbles. I stare at Jack's crying face in the picture and the large smile he has when holding me tightly. I never knew he smiled when I hugged him, I thought he was still sobbing into my arm. Seeing this is just more things that I learn about my man. Oh, how I miss him. I notice tears threatening to drip off my cheek and quickly wipe them away. I'm not letting my tears ruin this picture.
"Can I have one?" Mark asks me in a soft tone. I nod slowly and grab the an envelope full of pictures from my pocket.
"You can take any from here." I tell him as I slowly pass it into Mark's soft hands.
"Thanks." He says quietly as he pulls out the pictures. There are many of him entering the offices to speak to Shane, and many more of him with me. Then, close to the end of the stack there is one of all the guys and I at the bar. We all smile and laugh, and Jack has his bright smile present that Tue camera caught perfectly. Mark smiles softly at the sight of it and nods to himself.
"I'll have this one." He says as he carefully slides it out of the pile and keeps it in his lap.
"That's a good one of him. I planned to give one to Wade and Bob too, Wade already got his. He heard me yelling and talked to me, I gave it to him then. I also wanted to hive Maddie and Emmet one, since they were friends with him too." I explain in a soft voice.
"Yeah, I think that's a good idea. We all need a little piece of him in our lives." Mark smiles softly at me and wraps his arm around me sweetly.
"Yeah... We do..." I whisper as I lean on Mark's shoulder and continue to stare down at Jack's photo.

***

Hours pass after Mark went back to his own room while I stay in this empty room by myself. I had laid down, trying to fall asleep with the picture of Jack placed firmly in my hands. However, I can't sleep right now, and I have a feeling I won't be able to for a while. I sit up in bed and wipe my sleepless eyes as they were closed for so long. Maybe I should go back to Shane's room and help him clean up. I did make quite a mess in there through my rampage. I should go help Shane organize it, or at least apologize.

I creep down the hallway, rays of the evening sun shining along the walls and floorboards. I knock softly on the door to Shane's room. I hear quiet footsteps before Shane opens the door and looks at me with red tinted eyes. His mouth hangs slightly ajar while his eyes stare over my body with his hands shaking by his sides.
"Are you okay?" I question him in a soft tone. Shane simply shrugs his shoulders and continues to stare at me. I take in a deep breath as I walk into the room and wrap my arms around Shane's neck and hug him tightly. He breathes heavily into my neck while he places his hands on my waist and hugs me slowly and calmly.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean what I said, you're an amazing person and I wouldn't be where I am without you. Anyone who doesn't love you is an idiot." I tell him calmly. I hear him take in a sharp breath while I feel his body quivering in my arms.
"What's wrong?" I question him in a caring, concerned voice. He doesn't respond and simply holds me while taking deep breathes next to my ear.
"Okay, then let me help you clean up in here." I offer as I slowly enter the room further and drag Shane with me. I release him and look around the room. The floor and cupboards are now spotless, however there is still a light red stain on the wall where I had angrily wrote a message before.
"You cleaned it already..." I mumble, turning my attention back to Shane. He raises his wrist and wipes it across his eyes while he nods slowly.
"I really didn't mean it, Shane, I'm sorry for what I said to you." I tell him softly while I kiss his cheek for only a moment.
"It's alright." Shane answers me, back in his business tone that he normally uses. I nod and take my arms off him as I continue nodding and walk towards my bed. I sit on it and cross my legs over on another. Shane takes a seat on his across from me and looks at me with sadness in his eyes.
"What happened? You don't look s well, Shane." I state as I fiddle my thumbs over my thighs lazily.
"That's because... Well, I'm not well..." He replies in a hushed voice. I tilt my head slightly and stare at him with concern.
"Why?" I push further in a kind tone of voice. I don't want to seem to harsh and upset with him after all, since my emotions have been coming out worse lately.
"Well... I suppose you have to know more than anyone else. My good friend who owns District 16, Liam Cooper, has been killed by an unknown cause." Shane whispers to me, causing my jaw to drop and my hand to instantly go grab Shane's own hand.
