2 MONTHS LATER

Elena's POV

Turning off the hot water I reach over to the hanger and grab my towel, wrapping my hair around the cotton fabric.

Theo was still asleep and I needed at shower after a very bloody surgery last night, that took almost 10 hours to finish. Callie was just downstairs with Sofia watching the morning cartoons.

"Hey, I was wondering...have you and Ethan have sex yet?" Callie blurted out as I was still half naked.

"Callie! Knock next time won't ya?" I say tightly gripping on the towel.

"Oh please, I've seen it before remember? Mark and you in the shower..."

"How I could not forget...his lesbian best friend was checking out my ass," I whisper.

"Whatever...so have you?"

Sitting down in front of my vanity mirror, I clean my face til a makeup wipe.

"Why are you asking me this?"

"So, that's a yes?"

"No? I have not slept with Ethan?"

"...Yet."

"Shouldn't you be dressed for work by now?" I ask seeing as she was still in her polka dot pajamas.

"I got the day off...so I'm spending it with Sofia, and Theo.."

"Oh, you don't have to that? I can take him to-"

"I would love to take care of him...Theo's an easy baby? He just needs something to distract him half the time."

"...Fine...but if he gets too fussy, just call me, okay?"

"I will, Mama bird.."

Getting up from the chair I walk over to my closet before getting dressed in jeans and a t-shirt.

"What time do you go in?" Callie asks, now laying on my bed.

"At 12:30..."

Finishing tying my shoes, I grab my purse and run down stairs before kissing Sofia and Theo goodbye.

"I'll be back later..." I say.

After putting my things up in my locker, I head back downstairs to check up on my patients for the day.

"How's Mr. Martinez? Is his bladder functioning normally?" I ask Rose, one of the head nurses.

"Yes, he's doing perfectly fine now.."

"Great, and how about Jullian? I heard he took a nasty fall and cracked his head open?"

"Yeah, it never stopped bleeding, but Dr. King took a look at him earlier today for you?"

"Oh, great...So who else do I have on my list for Post-ops?"

"Actually, this patient's not a post-op... they were put in the file because Plastics had surgery during the time..."

"Oh, okay...If anyone needs me I'll be checking up on them."

Closing the file I had the rest of them back to Rose, before heading up to ICU.

"Good Morning..." Ethan says in his raspy English accent.

"Oh, Good Morning...Actually, thank you...for checking up on Jullian's head..."

"No problem, I knew you were going to be busy today so I thought, 'Why not take the load off?' And I would do it again..."

Wrapping his arm around my shoulders he brings me closer to his as he kisses the top of my head.
