Standing beside Amelia, we laid back on a monument in the cemetery while Maggie was visiting her mother's grave.

Closing my eyes, I let the wind relax my skin in this breezy cold day as Amelia began doing what she always does, talk.

"I still don't get it." She whispered.

"Get what?"

"Why did Diane want to be buried here? She's not from here. It's weird."

"Maybe so she could be close, so Maggie could do this."

"What's 'this?" She questioned.

"I mean, what does she get out of it?"

"Don't ask me," I mumbled.

Hearing her take a deep breath, I slowly opened my eyes to look over at Maggie.

"I guess it's better than the way I did grief."

"Which time?" I asked, looking over at her.

"The time with the oxy binges."

"I go a little dark and twisty because of Meredith...but then I come back."

"Which time?" Amelia asked.

"Mark's death...and then Derek's."

"A little dark and twisty? You and Meredith disappeared. She had a secret baby."

"Please don't refer to our niece as her secret baby." I chuckled closing my eyes again.

"You know, maybe this is what grief looks like when you've lived a whole, healthy life. Like before anything terrible happens."

"Like watching our father get murdered when you're 8 & 5?" Amelia added.

"Or like seeing your Half-sister be crushed to death by an airplane wing."

"We're more alike than we realize." She said.

Hearing Maggie's footsteps approach us, she smiled as she walked by.

"Come on. We don't want to be late."

"Are you ready for you first day back?" I asked.

"So ready." She sighed happily.

Walking down the hallways, I overhear Riggs and Robbins talking about their patient.

"So she's 29 weeks now?" He asked as he looked at his tablet.

"Yeah. I placed a pericardial-amniotic shunt last week."

"All right. So, as long as the tumor doesn't grow too fast, we can push surgery till the baby's bigger...I mean, ideally until after she's born."

"Yeah, fingers crossed," I whispered as we turned the corner to the lab room.

"Hey, how's Maggie?" Robbins asked.

"Um, great...I guess? I haven't been over since the funeral."

Logging into the computer, Robbins roamed around the screen for a while.

"Are wedding plans going?" Riggs asked.

"You and Avery having a big wedding or a small one?" Robbins added.

"You will have to ask Catherine," I said clicking into my patient's file.

"Why Catherine?"

"She's helping me with the plans, and also getting a designer to start on my dress."
