"And I called it off and I kept it off until I couldn't anymore, and I really very, very sorry," Meredith said as she stared at herself in the mirror.

Standing beside Alex in the women's restroom, we both had our arms crossed in front of our chest, as I curiously looked at her.

"Tell me why I'm here again?" I whispered.

"If I have to hear this, so do you." Alex hissed.

"What do you think?" Mer asked as she turned to us.

"That's the one." Hearing the restroom door open behind me, I turned around to see Maggie walking inside with a gray and white bag.

"I have been looking everywhere for you. You're in the ladies room?" Maggie said before turning her attention to Alex.

"So?" Letting silence fill in between his answer, Maggie turned to face Meredith.

"Show me your teeth."

Furrowing my eyebrows, Meredith gave a disgusting face, before Maggie pulls out a shirt.

"All clear. Okay, so, this is the shirt you like. I brought it because I knew you would forget it." She whispered.

"Thank you..." Meredith said with a quiet voice.

"You're nervous. It's a big crowd, bright lights, but you're gonna be great. And, um, I'll be there. So, if you get nervous, you can just look at me. You just talk to me, okay?" Maggie reassured her.

"Okay."

"You got this."

"Thanks," Meredith whispered.

Giving her a quick hug, Maggie smiles at me before leaving the restroom.

"You're right...she might hate you," Alex added.

"And it'll be on national TV." I chuckled before I noticed the look on her face.

"Elena."

"Sorry," I whispered before heading out the room.

Rushing into the lecture room a few doors down the hall, I ran into Bailey at the door as she looked over at Richard.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Conference not big enough?" I added, fixing my blue and white striped button down.

"You look nice today?" Bailey said as Ben walked up to us.

"Thanks, I have another meeting after this one about the Head Transplant so..."

Fastening the back of my dark blue skirt that ended right to about my knees, I tucked the back of my shirt in before relaxing.

"Richard's not sitting with Catherine..." Bailey whispered.

"And?" I asked.

"They're married...you stand beside Jackson when doing an interview like these?"

"Okay, you need to leave that man alone." Ben urged.

"Agreed," I added.

"I'm moving on to Catherine."

"Their marriage is not your lane. Your lane is over here with me. Stay in it. I mean it, Miranda."

"Oh, you should not have said that," I whispered to my myself as I fixed my black point toe heels.

"You're right. My lane is with you in this marriage. I am blessed."

"All right, then," Ben said with confidence.

"I have also been blessed with the ability to change lanes because my car belongs to me, and I take it where I want to go. Leave no lane untraveled."
