"Ms. Shepherd, would you like anything to drink?" The attendant asks me.
"No, thank you." I whisper as I held Theo is my arms.
"Okay, well just let me know. I'll be in the front."
Quietly walking down the aisle she tiptoes so she doesn't wake up my son.
We were just 10 hours away from Seattle, and were scheduled to land in Switzerland at around 8 pm.
"Mam..." Theo whispers as his hand grasps my fingers.
"Hey...we're almost there.."
Lifting himself up he turns his head towards the window next to me. Placing his small hands on the plastic window he looks down at all the clouds. Turning his head when birds would fly by the plane.
"Water.." He says pointing down at the ground.
"That's a lake." I say.
Leaning towards the window I look down at the cities we were passing by, and before I knew it we were flying across the Atlantic ocean.
"Fishy!"
"Yeah, look." Pointing down at the dolphins, they jumped out up from the water before diving back inside.
"Haha." Clapping his hands together he smiles excitingly
"We will be arriving to Swizz Airport in an hour, Dr. Shepherd." The pilot announced.
Sitting Theo in front of me, I buckle him up and give him my phone before grabbing some paper work from my bag.
"Look mam!"
Showing me the missing calls from Jackson and Owen, I slide the phone open and put on some cartoons for him to watch.
"It's okay Theo, just keep watching."
Signing the rest of my Post-ops from Seattle, I look over some CT scans and MRI's before sending them back.
Organizing the rest of the papers I place them in different folders.
"We are landing in 5 minutes."
Putting my bag underneath my seat, I hold on tight before closing my eyes.
"Mam?"
Reopening them, Theo was looking up at me with concern.
"It's okay sweety, I'm just resting.." I whispered.
Going back to watching his show, I glance back out to the window.
'Derek!'
'Christina, where is Derek!'
'Mark!'
'Elena!'
'No, Lexie you don't get to die on me. Do you hear me?'
'You are the best sister, I've ever had...'
'No, Lexie. Please don't leave...'
"Ms. Shepherd." Resting her hand on my shoulder, I turn my head to see the flight attendant standing next to me.
"We've landed."
Nodding at her, I look up at Theo who was still watching his cartoons.
"Okay, let's go Theo."
Unbuckling myself, I reach over for him.
"Were you having a bad dream?" He whispered as I grabbed his hand and my bag.
