Coming out of the restroom, I wipe my mouth with a towel and throw it in the laundry basket in my closet.
"What are you looking for?" I asked Jackson.
"I need a shirt, but I've worn all of these before."
Sighed deeply, he kept staring at the button down shirts hanging in front of him.
"I would wear black..."
"Good idea, I'm signing divorce papers."
"Jackson, I was joking. Don't be cruel."
"Help me, Elena..."
Looking at all of his color-coded shirts then went from white to black on the other side, I closed my eyes and started from the very bottom.
"Really?" Jackson sighed.
"What I don't know what to wear either? This isn't my divorce," I blurted out as I grabbed a dark gray button-down and a black jacket.
"Go, try it on."
"Alright."
Walking up and down aisle I pick out a navy blue v-neck shirt and a white skirt with pastel colored flowers.
"How does it look?" Jackson said as he came back into the room.
"I like it...now find some pants."
"..Right."
After getting dressed and putting on some black ankle-strapped heels, I blow dry my hair while Jackson is finishing getting ready.
"Theo's at Meredith's right?" He asked.
"Yeah, just until this is over, why?"
"I wanted..."
Hearing his footsteps come into the bathroom, he stood behind me.
"I wanted to go on the ferryboats today, have another date...with Theo."
"Don't you get seasick?"
"No, I get anxiety on a plane. That's why I drink bourbon."
"Yeah, me too."
"So, yes? I can schedule it right now, we can get lunch afterward?"
"Yeah, I'd think that would buy us time before we head to the wedding."
"That's what I was thinking."
Applying some lipstick, I grab my purse the hanged from the back of my chair when I get this horrible feeling in my stomach.
"Ow," I whispered as I held onto my stomach.
"I brought the car around, Elena. You ready?"
"Yeah...just, give me a moment," I yelled from upstairs.
Hurrying back into the restroom, I closed the door behind.
"Where are you? Where are you?" I repeated.
Climbing up on the counter, I reach all the way to the back of my cabinet to find a tampon.
"Yes."
"Elena!" He yelled as I had finished putting it in.
"I'm going!"
Washing my hands quickly, I dry them and hurry down the stairs.
"El-"
"Will you stop yelling I'm here?"
"You said-"
"This is not my day, it's yours," I whispered as I got into the car.
