Opening the door to the refrigerator I take out the milk carton and bacon before placing it on the counter when Derek comes in the living room.

"Have you seen my phone?" He asks as he takes a bite of toasted bread.

"It's in your hand?" I said pouring Theo some milk.

"Not this. This one's mine. The government one, the one I have to return. I don't know where I put it."

Coming into the kitchen, we walks behind me and check my sweater pockets.

"Hey? I don't have it?" I urged.

"Couch cushions?" Meredith yelled as she makes her way over to the hall near the restroom.

"Hey Zola, hurry up or you won't have time to eat breakfast!"

"Are you nervous?" I asked as I made my way to Bailey, who was sitting in his high chair.

"It's not like you go to prison of you don't return the phone. I mean, I don't go to prison for that, right?"

"No, I meant resigning? Giving up the job of a lifetime isn't a small thing to do."

"Well, it is. In comparison to everything here, it is."

"But-" Meredith added.

Resting my hand on the counter, I turn to see Bailey face plant his face onto his plate and suck up a mandarine with his mouth.

"Meredith, I meet with the president's council in the morning. I give them my final report, my official recommendation, and then I'm done. I'll be home before you know it." He says as he walks up to the kitchen counter.

"It's good. It's time." He whispers.

The door opens suddenly as Amelia walks through the front door with a surprised look on her face when she sees that we're all in the room.

"Oh! Hey! You're...here."

"Yeah, we live here."

"I don't. They had my kid hostage so I stayed." I add.

"But you had a flight. And you...yesterday you were going on and on about some early surgery that you had. The point is, you're not supposed to be home." She blurted out.

"Mam." Grabbing Theo's plate I put it in the dishwasher.

"Okay, go get your bag," I say.

"My surgery got pushed," Mer said as she took Bailey out of his high chair.

"Uh, weren't you wearing that yesterday?" I asked Amelia as she wore the same green long-sleeve shirt with black jeans and boots.

"Amelia, you forgot your ce-"

Again, seeing the door abruptly open behind Amelia, Hunt walks through the door with her phone.

"Um.."

"Hey, um..I was just..."

Glancing at Meredith and I, Derek chuckles a little before returning his eyes to Amelia and Owen.

"Her cell phone was..."

"Thank you."

"Yeah."

"Who wants breakfast? Anybody?" Derek questioned as he had a very cheeky smile on his face.

"We have coffee."

"Well, I should...yeah, I'm gonna go," Hunt says as he dismisses himself, closing the door and leaves.

"Hey, little guy." Amelia says ignoring the three of us and heading straight to my kid.

"You do know he's Theo's godfather, right?" I questioned.
