Sitting in my office, I sat back and re-read my medical journal for the 3rd time. Hearing the sound of people walking by my office, I zoned out for the time being when I see a small dark shadow standing near the door.

"Jesus...Bailey, you scared me." I blurted out.

Standing at the door frame, she stared at me with her annoyed look before walking into the room.

"What wrong?" I asked.

"What's wrong is that you're working."

"Isn't that what I'm supposed to do?"

Laying back on my chair, I crossed my legs from underneath the table.

"Avery is getting on a plane to Montana..."

"And?"

Scoffing, she stood in front of my desk with her mouth wide open.

"Spit it out, Miranda?"

"I thought you two would be going together?"

"Why would you think?" I said pushing myself up from the chair.

"You're engaged, and Jackson's heading to an Avery hospital."

Rolling my eyes, I walked around the desk before grabbing my white coat.

"Elena."

Inserting one of my arms, I stopped and looked over at her.

"I want you to go to Montana with Jackson."

"If you want me to go because this is about publicity, sending me on a plane with Jackson is not a good idea. I promise you." I whispered.

"Well, then it's a good thing I'm not asking...That's an order."

"There are two chiefs-"

"And we've both ran this hospital without one another."

"Jackson asked Grey to go with him-"

"Go to Montana."

Mouth open, I glanced around the room in a state of shock as she walked out of the room calmly.

"I don't even have a bag pack?"

"It's a good thing Catherine gave your spare key."

"She what?"

Jackson's POV

Sitting inside our driver's car, I leaned on the door as I watched us drive through Seattle through the window.

My mother sat next to me, quiet than ever, it seemed odd for her to be this silent in a car ride.

"We should only be gone a day, two max," I whispered to my mother as I turned my head to look inside.

"If you need me before that, you can just-"

"Please, Elizabeth is dying for some quality time with her grandmama."

"Could've just taken her with me." I sighed as I looked back outside.

"Aren't you gonna say like, 'Go, child? You're being ridiculous." I added.

"If you're having second thoughts, we could bring your patient here."

"No, I told you, we've got a girl who needs a throat transplant and a donor in the same exact hospital. We can't risk moving either of them."

"I know. I just meant..."

Furrowing my eyebrows, I bite my bottom lip as I casually glanced to the middle of the car.
