Chapter 30

Thirty: Xrizshelle's Side. 

~Drake's POV 

As soon as Starelle fell asleep, my phone started vibrating kaya kinuha ko 'to at tiningnan yung screen. A message from the unknown number. The only unknown number I've been receiving messages from--aside from Globe's very own random 4-digit numbers. 

Message: 

I heard someone made a mess. How could someone ruin my plans? This is upsetting. I wanted to be first in creating a memorable and literal bloody mess but I guess someone thought about it first. Very, very upsetting. 

Tangina, Cara. Alam kong siya lang ang gagawa nito. The way this person texts, its her. I know it is. Gusto lang niya akong paniwalain na hindi siya yung gumawa nito pero alam kong wala nang iba pa ang gagawa nito. The red envelope? The writing on the wall? It has to be Cara. 

Hindi siya kilalang 'The Bloody Queen' for nothing. She just had to make her revenge so obvious.

I've been thinking of a variety of ways to catch her red-handed and if only Shelle could help me. Pero hindi niya alam, hindi niya pwedeng malaman. Her skills have obviously remained intact but she doesn't know who she was before and why she even knows these things. I have to keep on lying... to protect her. 

I don't care if she's the 'Superior', she doesn't need to know her past. Not now. Alam kong hindi 'Superior' ang tawag sa kanya for nothing, baka nga malaman niya pa ang nakaraan niya without me telling her. Pero sana 'wag. I don't want her sniffing around. 

And I don't want Starelle to know just yet. Masyadong malaking risk. Muntikan na ngang maibunyag ni Blake at Ethan kanina, buti naunahan ko pa sila. Ayokong dumagdag sa mga inaalala niya. 

We were rebels, more commonly known as gangsters. Pero noon 'yon. The respect, the authority, the skills, the connections, everything remains. Except the fact that we don't do gang fights anymore, we're not those people who used to hangout at the GC, we have lives to live and works to be done. 

My ex-girlfriend Cara... if only I hadn't broken up with her she wouldn't disappear and reappear seeking for revenge. Pero kahit na, mababaw pa rin ang naiisip kong dahilan niya for her revenge. Pero I know it's also because I challenged (blackmailed) her younger brother, Joshua. 

Sinabi kong layuan niya si Shelle kasi ayokong magkaroon ng kahit anong koneksyon si Shelle kay Cara. I just wanted everything to end with her. Alam kong baliw siya, literally. 

Masyado siyang nagkagusto sa akin, she was obsessed. She threatened every woman that came near me. Sobrang nakakabaliw yung mga pinaggagagawa niya noon. Imagine, she killed three girls and they were just my fucking college friends. 

And then I broke up with her and she went missing for a year. Sobrang determinado niyang makuha ako ulit pero ayoko na. Mabilis akong nagkagusto kay Starelle, I was over Cara quickly. At pinangako ko sa sarili ko na hinding-hindi ko hahayaang saktan ni Cara si Starelle. She'd have to face me first.
