Chapter 46. Getting back up our feet.

~Harrison's POV

"Good morning, sleepy angel." I walked inside her room and placed the breakfast tray in her bedside table. She didn't respond and continued looking at the window.

"Hey, you feeling okay? Do you want to talk?" She gave me a look that told me to shut up but I didn't. "If you want, I can just tell you stories about when I was-"

"Pwede bang umalis ka na muna? Wala ako sa mood makipag-usap sayo sa inyong lahat." She said with no emotion evident in her eyes. For once, I thought I was talking to the dead.

I had never seen her this way. She's in too much shock and trauma that she refuses to talk to anyone. I had psychologist for a mother and a therapist for a father. I don't dare put the skills they gave me to waste. "No. Sorry, Shelle. But whether you like it or not, I'm staying here." Tears started to fall from her eyes and she rubbed her eyes to stop the tears but it didn't work. The tears just kept on falling and falling to no end.

"Please leave." She repeated but I didn't budge. "I know you're traumatized. It helps lessen the feeling when you tell someone about it. I promise." She gave me a look but complied. "Mag-stay ka kung gusto mo, 'wag mo lang akong kausapin. I have a lot of things on my mind." She said, looking out through the window.

"Sorry, but I stayed here to talk to you. Not to idle around," I replied with a look that showed how much I cared for her but she showed how much she didn't care about what I said. She rolled her eyes and didn't respond.

"Silence means yes, angel." I replied and winked at her. My eyes widened... for a second there... I saw her smile. She fucking smiled!

"Whatever. Can you shut up?" She insisted but I knew she didn't mean that for the corner of her lips formed a sly smile. She thought I didn't notice but she forgot about how I'm very keen at observing other people.

"Apparantly, no. I just have A LOT to tell you, you know? I'm like, so awesome and I do, like, the most awesome and crazy things ever!" I bragged, wishing she'd laugh. Part of what I said was true since I'm an asshole and I do crazy things for no reason at all then I get hurt and I get back up again and do a much crazier thing than the last crazy one. It's how crazy I am. I'm just awesome that way.

"Shut up, will ya?" But she was laughing so I assumed she didn’t want me to stop so I kept going.

"One of the craziest things I did was when I jumped onto a tank where a shark lived and almost got bitten by it if it wasn't for my fast reaction. I was so awesome that the video went viral on the Web for a few days before I posted a 'dared' video. I was dared by a friend to act like a mime for a day and earn five hundred dollars which was pretty hard at first but it got more fun the more I did it so I earned, like, five hundred and seventy five dollars." While I told her the experiences I had when I was abroad, she didn't look at me but I noticed the slight amusement in her facial expression so I guess I was successful.

"But hey, I've wanted to ask something for a while about mimes." She looked at me with arched eyebrows and mumbled a 'what'. Would you look at how awesome I am for bringing back her ability to interact with other people? *insert smug face of a drop dead gorgeous guy here who apparently is me so you don’t have to take up your time and search for a picture of a smug drop dead gorgeous guy since I already exist*
