Chapter 7

Seven: Josh x Jeno Rivalry.

~Joshua's POV

"Why are you here?!" It wasn't really scripted or anything but we said it at the same time and trust me, I didn't like it one bit. Who am I referring to? Who else would I dislike the moment I see him? He just seem to always appear everywhere we go and it's getting on my nerves. Did he put a tracker in one of Shelle's personal belongings for him to appear wherever we go?

"Ba't siya nandito, Shelle?" He asked her.

"Magkasama kasi kami nung nahimatay ako," she explained. She didn't bother telling him the full story and it's fine that way. He doesn't need to know everything.

"Nahimatay ka?!" His eyes widened. I don't mention his name because I simply don't know what it is. Hindi naman nabanggit sa akin ni Shelle and I'm not interested anyway.

"Why are you with her if you didn't know why she was here?" I squinted my eyes at him. His mere presence is pissing me off.

"May binisita ho kasi ako. Ano bang pakialam mo kung ba't kami magkasama?" I don't really believe anything he says. Maybe I'm just bitter because Shelle likes him but that's only a part of the many reasons why I don't like him.

"Oh, you misunderstood, my friend. I couldn't care less about what you do. I'm here because Xrizshelle's involved and I don't want her to get caught up in anything involving you." Nginitian ko si Shelle. "We have to go, Shelle. Your family might be worried sick about your whereabouts so I need to bring you home." She nodded as she followed me away from the other guy. But of course she had to say farewell to him. She's kind that way.

"You never mentioned his name," I blurted out. I wouldn't know what name to curse if she doesn't tell me, right?

"Jeno Cyrus Evans," she answered without beating around the bush. I furrowed my eyebrows. "Evans is his last name?" She nodded. "Yep. Parang di niya last name 'no?" I rolled my eyes at her comment. So she's awed by his last name? Pfft. Mine's better in so many ways though.

"Whose name do you like better? Mine or his?" She let out a small laugh. "Ano ba namang klaseng tanong 'yan, Joshua?" I showed her a sly smile. "Can I not be curious?"

"Hindi naman pero ang weird kaya," she answered back. Pero di ko siya sinagot kaya naglabas siya ng sound of frustration kaya natuwa ako. "Fine pero pag-iisipan ko muna." And that simple answer brought a sincere smile to my face.

"Take your time then, princess." I winked at her which made her laugh. Hinampas pa nga niya ako sa braso eh but it didn't hurt and it wasn't that strong and even if it was, I didn't mind. She used to even punch me in the arms before. I'm glad her habits hadn't changed.
