Alyssa

Ryan stared at me as we sat on the couch in my living room. It's been a week and a half and my face has just about cleared away.

"Why have you been so distant Ry?" I asked.

"You been distant Alley and you won't tell me what the fuck you had going on so I wasn't gonna press you about it because I got my own shit to be worried about." Ryan told me rubbing his head.

"Really? You couldn't possibly understand the shit I just went through in the past two weeks."

"You right, I couldn't. You don't tell me shit so what am I supposed to do? Read your fucking mind?"

"You're always so busy Ryan.." I sighed.

"When has that ever stopped you from talking to me?"

"Why don't you just stay the night tonight..."

He didn't say anything for a brief moment like he was thinking about something and I was wondering what was on his mind that he took this long moment of silence.

"..nah, I can't. I gotta go home to my girl." Ryan said.

"...'Your girl'...seriously?" I asked getting a little upset.

"Yeah, she needs me." he said kinda coldly.

"I need you Ryan!" I nearly yelled at him.

"Don't do this shit right now Alyssa." he said getting loud.

"You don't understand Ryan! I know you aren't going to ever leave me for her and it's fine but I just...I just need you right now." I said frustrated and trying to hold back tears.

He stared at me. "What? That's what this is about?"

I didn't say anything.

"You think I'm gonna leave her for you? Is that what this is all about? Huh, Alyssa? Where the fuck are you getting this shit?"

"I want you Ryan..." I told him.

He sighed then got up from the couch. "I gotta go."

I got up behind him and grabbed his hand stopping him.

"Where are you going?" I questioned.

"She's pregnant Alyssa." he said.

My heart nearly fell out of my chest and I couldn't catch my breath. I couldn't get any words out. He just stared at me and I didn't know what to do or say.
