Consciousness

Luci floated into consciousness, and immediately struck out at the nearest object, which swore loudly.

"Ow! Shit! That hurt!"

Another voice chuckled. "She's done that every time, yet you still don't expect it?"

"Shut up. Am I bleeding? I think I'm bleeding."

There was the sound of someone grabbing someone roughly, then giving them a rough shove away.
"You're fine. A little bruised, but fine."

Slowly, Luci's eyes flickered open and... She was seeing double.

She blinked her eyes a couple of times, trying to clear her vision. Then she realised. Her vision was fine. This was real.

There were two of the same girl.

One of them who had been besides  her doppelganger a moment ago had taken off and was standing at the taller end of the small cavern they were enclosed in, examining the rocks that sealed them in tight with her arms crossed over her chest.
The other was crouched on the floor, arms around her knees, looking small and helpless as she traced patterns in the dust on the ground with her finger.

The same dark curls crowned their heads. The same sharp-structured features. The same lanky limbed build that didn't really go proportionally with their short height.

Nyx.
Alysha.

Wait, what? Did this mean... What? Huh? Two of them... In separate bodies... Huh?

This was... Too much to process, especially with a head injury and an impending sense of claustrophobia.

Her vision started to fog over.

Immediately, one of... The girls, one with bizarre irises that were shifting through shades of grey to yellow, scrambles over to her. "Hey, you okay? Stay alert, don't go unconscious on me again!"

The girl at the far end snorted derisively. "You'll need a bloody miracle to get her out alive. Even if we escape."

"Aren't miracles your specialty?" The other girl bit back angrily. Then, she almost seemed to shrink in fear as she realised what she said.

The farther girl turned around, brow raised.

The last thing Luci saw as she slipped into unconsciousness was the pair of void black pools the girl bore for eyes.
