Emilia followed Wes and her big sister out of the treehouse, through a very well concealed exit.
Taking Wesley's hand, the girl began to not so kindly tug her behind her and away from the house.
She turned her head back to Emilia. "You coming or what?"

Emilia was confused. "Wait, what?"

"Are you coming? You can't stay here, it's to dangerous. No matter what the tiny terrors claim. Look, I can't hang about. There's two kids stuck in that place, and I've got to get the adults involved asap. Come or don't, but get off the property as soon as possible. Trust me. It's not so bad being that it's daylight now, but still, don't hang around."

Wesley tugged on her sisters arm. "Come on, Candy! We gotta get dem to get Billy 'n Rigsy back! C'mon!"

"Please don't call me that." 'Candy' muttered under her breath, irritated. "Ah, but that's not important. Let's just all be smart and leave without drawing attention to ourselves. You're definitely sure the others went home, Wes? Good. Come on, let's go."

Emilia looked back at the building, a little torn about what to do but really, she knew her answer.
Abandoning Evelyn and the boys would not help her acheive her goal. In fact, it by doing so the chance would very well slip through her fingers completely.

"Well... I'm going back into the mansion. I'll look out for the kids on my way, if you like."

"No, no, going inside alone is not a good idea. Trust me. We need the adults."

"I am an adult."

"We need more adults! And almost definitely Billy's mum if we want any chance of this working. And a plan!"

Emilia wasn't listening. She was walking back into the mansion already, Candy pulling her hair out behind her.
